The chop is just a little lower in the back, compared to before. Front is the same.
There was a thread on here a while back where someone chopped a 35 fordor. I´ll have to try and find it.

    Edit - here we go...

Hey guys, this thread is frickin awesome. I just picked up a 1940 Plymouth and was hoping you guys could show me my vision for the car. I basically want to see the car slammed with big and little (but not too little) tires. I'm hoping to check out some different wheel/tire combinations:
    - black stock steel wheels, stock caps (no trim rings), and black walls
    - black stock steel wheels, no caps or trim rings, and black walls
    - black stock steel wheels, stock caps (no trim rings), and white walls
    - black stock steel wheels, no caps or trim rings, and white walls
    - use your imagination...what would you do

I would like to keep the car black. More photos in this album: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/album.php?albumid=21537
Feel free to photoshop out the trailer :)
    THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Bill

Couldn't figure out metalflake but this color did come off Big Johns Willys. Hope this is close to what you had in mind.

I have always loved the looks of the 1935-36 Ford Four door bodies... and I also feel that they look great chopped. But I also feel that the shapes of the bodies are dead on, and when chopped not much needs to be altered to the shape of the top. Otherwise it all gets out of shape, and will not have the perfect proportions it already had when it came from the factory.

So here is my take on it. First one is like it is. Second one is chopped, and the drip rail is level with the belt-line. The shape of the rear quarter window is crucial, especially its corner shapes. And I just left the trunk since its bulbous shape compliments the shape of the roof to me. ANd even the spare tire cover looks to be perfectly in place on this mid 1940's style custom car.
I did lower the rear suspension a bit more, got ride of the ugly side pipes, lowered the headlights and replaced them with longer units (39 Chevy or similar, but with the 36 Ford lenses.) And I replaced the tires and wheels for better looks.

Anyone up for putting me a logo together for my new "Don't be a Janet" social group? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=585

I'll take what I can get...(should I really say that) but what I'm looking for is a Dr.Suess theme... You know...

I do not like Green Eggs and HAMB ...By Janet.

Anyone that can help me out...Thanks!

I think this should be a contest, in fact, if I can get my act together, I'll pony up a "trophy" for the winning pic!:D

I know this isn't exactly HAMB friendly... but I was hoping I could get some help with it anyways. It's my girlfriends car and we'd like to see what it'd look like in the new plum crazy purple found on the new challengers (or something even relatively close (I know beggers can't be choosers..)) but keep the flat black hood. Also the same wheels but a bit larger with lower profile tires. I'm thinking 17" wheels, they're 15's now. Maybe lift the back end of the car up too, or drop the whole thing.. I dunno, whatever you wanna do to it.. hahah I included a few pictueres, use whichever is easiest for you. Thanks in advance!

  18. Can anyone photoshop my car with some different wheels/tires on it? I bought these thinking I would like them but the white walls are too wide for my liking so I think I will put them on another car.I would like to see some different wheels/tires on it making it look like a mid 60s era built car.Maybe Torque Thrust or Keystones?I also intend to lower the front a little more.

Trying to decide on a color for my Shoebox, would any of you guys be interested in trying some colors for me? I'm thinking dark shades of, maroon, green, black, blue, or maybe even purple. Thanks!

OK I give, I've tried to do this myself with a borrowed copy of photoshop and can't get it to look like anything remotely presentable. I'm thinking a dark champagne color for the body, heavy red flake on the roof (but keeping the rack) , chrome reverses (not sure on tires) , and some bellflower tips and of course, riding MUCH lower. Any help would be awesome. Thanks
