Here you go. I was looking at your build thread the other day. Thats a really interesting car. What are you planning for a roof, if anything? I thought some kind of padded top would look really good. Also wants some pipes to fill the space below the car. Just My 2c.

more colours. (metallic blue and purple)

Diamonds? Dont know what kind or what your plans were for that, so just some basic ones, not adding them to the roof till I know more cos thats too much effort.

diamonds one, diamonds one inverted, and diamonds 2.

messing with ones from yesterday,

mixture of things from yesterday.

I`m not larry watson, I can do the technical stuff but not the creativity.

 

JamesD, thats awesome! when I first started this car I was trying to get an idea for a removable top, or even bringing the rear top of the body ahead (like a factory roadster). Thanks! I think it "finishes" the look of it.. Thanks again.

 

Jynx, those set the bar incredibly high. The last one is unreal, thats the kind of thing I would LOVE to do. And madfish, yes, thats exactly what im thinking.

 

One more metalic I had.

I`ll have another mess with that purple combo when Im feeling a bit more inspired. in my head im kinda thinkin something like this hotrod. where its a white base with purple panels.
or that ranchero.

 

YEAH DUDE! Thats what I initially wanted white base and go from there. When I paint it its just getting a solid white to start then working from there. The panels on the bucket are sick as fuck. You've got me all excited, haha

Imagine startin w/ a pearl white base, and i mean PEARL! killer.

 

yeah bonez, thats exactly where im starting, hold on, ill get a picture of that Caddy pearl i was talking about on LBCC. There is an anniversary edition I think and it almost has a gold/purple tint to it. Like white with pearl, flake and chameleon all in one, its ridiculous

Bad ass work on those Edsels. Thats putting in print what I have been trying to come up with in my mind. I agree that white base with the paneling on top is what I have been thinking about too.

 

Can I get the data code on that Paint?
Or at least the year, model of car, and the paint name?

Apologies for the "stuff" in the way of gettin' a good sideshot of her; that's where she's sitting right now, and no way to move her.

I'm thinking pale pink (not bubblegum, please ) and white or black as accent colors. Possibly something along the lines of the "La Femme."

A nice blank canvas if anyone wants to go mad on it.

 

I am looking at converting my 4 door hard top 54 Ford into a roadster and will be removing the roof. I want to get an idea on how this will look before I start on it in a few weeks. I will also be nosing, decking, shaving the doors and trim as well. I want to paint it a flat black with pearl blue flames. This isn't my car but a good start since it already has the flames on it and a similar paint scheme I am looking at. I will also eventually be adding a Carson top to it down the road. Thanks for all of your help.

 

if you're talking about the yellow car in your album, walk away from it. It looks really nice. 4 door roadsters are not cool enough to mess up your 54. No offense, but if you want to do a job like that, sell your nice car and start with something uglier, haha

 

Yep that is the car. Thanks for the compliment. I wanted to chop the top but everyone I have talked to have said it is a huge pain because of the back window. After looking around and seeing older 4 door mercs what they did with them was remove the roof and then added a carson top. I liked the look and so am looking into doing something similar. Talking to other people on here about this project it has been one of those things where they hate the idea or love it.

 

Well damn, I must have wasted an hour cleaning this up for myself, you did a so much better job than me.
you should draw some lines on it, youre pretty good at that stuff. .

I`m glad she liked that cos there was nothing I could really think of doing other than adding a black top. And thats pushing it.

 

Can someone help me out with my new coupe. It lacks curb appeal. I'd like help the stance and put black steelies, whitewalls, hub caps, and trim rings. Thanks!

 

Not much I can think of doing with your car cool57, not a lot goes with pink. Everything tends to look girly. maybe paint it a more sparkly cadillac pink & just enjoy the pinkness.
