How do those doors work? I've sat here for quite a while and I still can't figure it out, do the wing windows not open out with the door? That is really bizarre when you look at it and don't see how it works!

    Correct.

There´s a long and highly scientific explaination for that, but I don´t have time to go into it right now.

If I understand what you mean correctly, then I can tell you it´ll look really bad. I´ll whip you up some Matranga Merc style window frames if you want?:)

I've got a request for you guys. It's an idea for my car later on down the road. 55 Chevy 210 post. 2-tone w/ gloss black on bottom and satin black on top.

The plan is to put a 6-71 on the Scout. The dilema is what to top it with. Can you infinitely talented guys give me a look at the following...

    1. 1 6-71 w Hilborn scoop / 2 carbs
    2. 2 6-71 w Hilborn scoop / 4 port (a-la Strange Bird)
    3. 3 6-71 w Bugcatcher

Note the angle of the single carb / air cleaner and the postion of the set back

    Thanks in advance kids

I agree with James on this one.
It would look a lot better with the stainless than the original door tops, and probably be a lot less work.

    Just my 2 sence

I agree too that it looks much better, but I have no idea where to even think about finding some stainless to make it all work.....I could look at doing it in steel but I am positive I could not afford to have it chromed ! But damn that looks gorgous James !

Go to the message box and click below it "Go Advanced". You'll see on the toolbar a icon that looks like a paperclip, click this and it will open another window. Click "Browse", find your picture, and hit "enter". In the small window click "upload" and wait. When it's done you'll see your pictures file name, close that window, then put a short message in this box, hit "post reply" and done!

Anything you can cut one side off and curve to accept a window channel felt.

I actually kind of like the chop, but it looks like the back of the roof needs a bit of the crown taken out. I'm not sure if "pancaked" is the correct term, but I hope you know what I mean.

The things that stuck out to me were that the back window came all the way down to the transition between the top and the body, and that the curve at the back of the rear window seemed larger than the opposing one at the front of the door window (I hope that makes some kind of sense:p). I shortened the rear window and sharpened the curve, if you click between both pictures it might be clearer...

Thank you Rich ! :) Yea that makes sense :D It looks alot better . But I still think the side back window doesn't match with the front , I would be very thankful to see more versions of the chop and maby see it in the same green as the firewall :DD Thanks again !
