  1. If anyone would like to have a crack at it.. This is what it looked like when I bought it. It's currently taken apart. so far i have pretty much everything patched up. The little holes that were there have been welded shut, sealed and block sanded to a gray primer. only the Cab is on the frame. Im looking for a paint scheme and a direction in which to take it. show me any ideas you have. As of now what I have in mind for the color scheme is a light cream top with a satin blue. Pantone 298C to be exact. It's in photoshop under color library or you can just google it. I did a PS rendition of it but that's at work and dont have access to it at the moment. Any ideas would be much appreciated.. Thanks!.

I'm taking apart my Chevy to bring it to my paint guy. Please give me some paint color ideas! I would like to see a dark blue version and a plum version and or any other colors you think would look nice.

    Thanks Jeff

OK here is one for you guys!!!!

    Here are my plans:

    56 olds headlights
    shaved gas filler
reshape rear fenders to slope down more
lower rear bumper and reveal line about an inch
    flip front bumper

    Maybes:
    Pancake hood and trunk

Then I am going to paint it metallic chery red. Heavy metallic, but not quite flaked.

If anyone can do that, I would REALLY appreciate it.

    Mr. Sinister Sir,

Do you mean 2 photos of each type of wheel or
    1 photo of both wheels
(if so which rim goes on the front & which goes rear?)

  13. I like your white and plum version Russian. I wonder if a slightly off-white or cream color might tie the roof in a little better?

Chopped, dropped, no bumpers and i left the attitude/life history of the car on (i mean original paint, patina and rust)... i like old cars that can tell you there life story :)

Thinking of putting Astro Supemes on the Buick although I like the caddy hubcaps.
Could someone put a set of Astros on it so i can see what it would look like. I want to keep the wide whites not the skinny whites. Thanks in advance for the help.

    Wow this thread is cool.

Ok here is a pic of my car. Just got it this year. Me and the wife can't figure out what color to go with. The original was silver.

What can you guys to do it.

I would love to see it in a two tone grey metal flake...

I would also love to see what a hot-rodder would do to it.

Holy shit, James de Man! INSPIRED! The skirts, wide whites and the Silver
Arrow rear touches TRANSFORMED the whole effect from the elegant original!
Talk about arriving in style, what with the Buick twin side mounts retained?
    Brilliant. You've topped yourself -- and I didn't think that possible.

Im painting the bed side spear, the space around the windows and the back of the cab, and lowering it a little. Can someone chop this for me?

I was thinking white or off white. I polished the paint and it is a shinny gloss red now instead of pinkish.

Thanks James D. Not sure if I like the Astros on it or not. What do you guys think.

  29. I don't know. I'm too distracted by your avatar. That's "Chuckles" Manson, isn't it? Reminds me of an old story. Years ago I was in a restaurant having lunch with Charley Manson. Half way thru the meal, he looked across the table at me and said. "Is it hot in here... or am I crazy?"
