I would love to see my truck photo shopped if anyone has the time. The paint scheme I'd love to do eventually is gloss black starting at the base of the window, up. Then the front and rear fenders and side steps also in gloss black. In between and on the hood, I'd like something close to the new Camaro green, the bright one. If someone could show me what that will look like, you'll be my hero for life! Thank!

Hotrodhon, thanks for the variations.. your skirt shot is right on. I have a set of skirts that happen to be unfaded (like the body) and look similar to what you show...

My pleasure. One other thing I do to these years chevys, Pontiac's, etc, is that you will notice the back of the fender was lowered (reverse sectioned) by about an inch. The are short by an inch from the factory and it really gets exaggerated when the car is lowered. Got a 49 Pontiac that I will be doing it to sometime this summer.

  13. All is forgiven. Thank you for the thank you and thank the others for their input.
One of the things I really like about the H.A.M.B. is the sense of community. I don't
always look for the gratitude nor do I expect accolades but, sometimes a thank you goes a long way. Also, as an artist, criticism is a tool to use to get better but only in it's proper context.

I like the first one with the stripe the most. Makes it look longer.

White with a black top would look sharp. I I'll try and do a few colors and post them later :)

  19. I ran out of time to chop it, but I grafted on 54 Chev rear quarters (or the fronts at least) and 210 side chrome and added Packard rear lights. I think it needs taller tyres too, but again, no time. Maybe later...

  20. Jigger, I was not talking about you job or ability to photoshop. I been watching this thread and you do an awsum job!!! The car was the problem. Once I thought about it trying to put a ranger(new truck) with a Ranchero( classic) was wrong. Thanks again!!!

    thanks again David

  22. Wow I like the look of it. Thanks bro, now you got the wheels turning in that poor head of mine..

  23. :D It´s a different look for sure. Side chrome is always good when the body is quite "deep". You can see it as a simple way of doing a section job, as it has a similar effect visually. Hope I can find time to do a bit more tomorrow.

  27. Black and white looks nice and clean. Thanks a million my friend. It's always good to be able to see kinda what it will look like before spraying it and turning out not to really like it. Thanks again for your time bro. You guys are really talented

I would like to see what it would look like if I took the "spear" off a hood and molded it onto my trunk lid.

This is the only pic I have of my trunk.

  29. Here we are. Bigger whitewalls, and chopped. Also with and without Packard lights, if you don´t want to get involved with all that. I´d really do something with the rear quarters though. It seems like Dodge may have used the same fenders from the four door on the two door cars, to save a few bucks, so they always look too short. They don´t roll under at the bottom edge either, as the Chevy parts do. Makes them look very slab sided at the back.

Good thinkin, but dont take it from your hood, get another one from a scrap car or make it from somethingelse.
Im sure if you go to the scrapyard and look at scrap cars you will most likeley find some body panels that can serve the purpose of making a spear like that one.
    watin to see this happen.
