Hi all, I was hoping someone could help me out with my Stude. I am seeking 2-tone color combinations. I kind of like the original pink and black (Tahiti coral and velvet black) but I don't think there is any way I could actually drive a pink car. Perhaps an orangey peach with black. I was also thinking tuquoise (lower) and pearl white (upper). Feel free to experiment with any other color combination that provides good contrast for the bodyside trim. Also if you want to experiment with wheels feel free. Thanks in advance.

Here is the Stude in a greenish turquoise, with a black top.
I smoothed the side vent, shaved the wide side trim and emblems.
Added wide whites with '57 Caddy caps.

Oh, and I cleaned up your back yard a bit.

That's about 3" lower, as close as I can figure.

I tried a few different colors with white and black roofs, but I haven't tried anything with the wheels yet.

I took most of the chrome off and tried to get back to the simplicity of Raymond Lowey's design.

@ Rot 'n Custom, MOguy, Madfish, thanks a bunch. Plenty of food for thought. I really like the turquoise/teal colors. Maybe I'm in the minority but I personally like the body side trim so it will stay with the car. Also I don't think I will lower the car even though it looks better. I still have to drive it on Michigan roads when I am done.
Anyone want to play with wheels? Maybe some five spokes like Cragars or Torque thrusts?
    Thanks again.

Thanks for the options RichG, and beebing. I also thought about lowering the bed rails, probably won't, at least for now.

Yeah, it just looks so damn square... hence the lowered bed rails, decked nose, tucked bumpers and dropped headlights.

I hope you do something with it, I think it's a cool truck!

Damn, I knew something else looked a little different. It was so subtle and I was so focused on the rear that I didn't catch the front end mods. last night. Looks good :D

Hello, I have tried before, but I seem to be computer challenged. Could someone photoshop a teardrop trailer onto the rear of my COE. I would like to keep the rear fenders as they are. Thanks in advance.

The hardest part was finding a suitable photo of a trailer at the same angle as your photo. I couldn't find an exact match so just used the best I could find. It's actually a cut-down 2008 Airstream in a retro design.

    Ok, fellers.
I've been really thinking about a paint job. I want a semi-matte green hues with gloss. and a flacked roof. I really like the 60s panel type paint jobs.

I like the fade job like on this Rancharo

Rather than go crazy with the flats and flakes, I painted the lower part of the wagon with an olive metallic and contrasted that with the gold from the top.
    And vice versa.

Can someone help me with ideas for my Edsel wagon? I think a panel/fade job in lime green and white would be awesome. Here's a a couple of what I did with tracing paper. ANY input would be appreciated.
