LN7_NUT I appreciate the effort, but not really what I was thinking. However I do like the scallop shape. Ill go snap a few more pictures in the sun and post those up

yeah kinda. I want it on the ground, if possible. I took some pics in the sun and tried uploading them but it kept popping up an error message so i loaded them to photobucket. I hope they're not too big. They're pretty much the same pics, just different distances. I'm not sure why they're kinda grainy. I put the camera on the highest reso, I thought...

  5. I'm not a photoshop pro , but is this the kinda style you are looking for? Your truck would look great with a white top like this one...

Kinda. I really like the "Watson/Bellflower" style but can't figure out how to cleanly do that to my truck. So I was trying to figure out what to do. Originally it was just going to be Green like the car I originally attached and some caps and WWW's, but I really want to do something "different" than mono color or the way they Two-toned them from the factory.

That's definitely more what I'm looking for, but something is missing. I can't figure it out. Maybe the contrast color. Idk, but thanks Ozols

I am by no means a pro at Photochop but I do good enough to get an idea of where I want to go. I notice a lot of people do awesome work but something I've noticed with many people is they often overlook scale.

Sometimes they use wheels too big or too small for their pic but in some cases it adds an artistic flair I suppose. :D

This is my most recent work and is of my 41. Of course my poor Photochop skills shine through but I did want to make a rendering that looked like an old photograph or a retouched image like in early auto illustrations. I have 37 Ford headlights for my 41 so I threw them in and of course the truck has missing glass etc so I remedied that as well. I am undecided on wheel or wheel cover choice at the moment so I just included some chrome reverse. I also added a bumper etc. anyway.........

Thanks much Deflayted... when Watson style scallops were the rage, bellflowers, Astro Supremes, etc. you'll notice that many vehicles were going away from the wider whites and going with a thin white stripe or thin double stripe in many cases. I cheated and stole the hard work others already put into your truck image and kept it a little more "typical" of the era. I'm not exactly pleased with the colors and of course there are many wheel or hubcap choices but this is the direction I took it.

This doesn't have a Cobra 289 in it, does it? Looks just like the one I owned in San Francisco in the 70's. It was a beast.

Thanks for all the help. I really like the scallop job, Sonic, but I am trying to get away from the yellow/gold but don't know what contrast color to go with. I was thinking maybe those crossbar hubcaps with some thin whites instead of the wide whites and slammed to the ground. And if possible, minus the body moulding. Again, thank you all that have been helping me with this.

Pre-K, I got this truck in '01 from a guy in Livermoore that bought it from a guy in Illinois in the mid 80's. It has a 292 Y-block.

  17. Just messing around.. tell me if you need some more color combos.

  19. Just playing about with a couple of old British cars recently.

The Vauxhall PA Cresta, which was unfortunately never built as a two door. I couldn´t help but wonder what it would have looked like...

And the Mk3 Ford Zephyr. Often mildly customised, as it was one of the few British cars with fins, but nobody ever really did it justice IMHO. Also only ever built as a four door. I went for a sort of Cliff Inman Chrysler look (well.... kinda....). Chopped, two door stretched and couped...

    Nicely done!
The Cresta looks spot-on with the B-pillar in place and the C-pillar thickened up for balance.

The Mk3 hits the right notes, as well. Oh, and great clean-up of the background, too!

  23. You going to need to find a bigger photo. One of a darker coloured car would be good too. :)

  24. Here's one. Can you guys take this one and make it dark maroon with black trim, black top, black wheels and '40 Ford hub caps. No checkers on the firewall either. :) Thanks
