It is my picture, I took it in 03 I think it was. I think I'll give Ebay a call and see what the case is. Look at his other items, they are all just pulled of the web by the looks of it.

 

The same guy is selling abunch of my photos and some of my friends photos and refuses to stop, mine are all copyrighted and eBay refuses to do anything, they make you go through a ridiculous process of downloading files and printing them and then faxing the files to them and then getting a phone call to send an email to another source... I have been messing with it for over a year with no luck, and the guy selling our images is a total asshole, he told me the photos are his, then he said they were given to him as a gift and that made it legal... I wish I could punch people in the face over the internet.

Just to add to this, I have not been back to eBay for a long time, I just went and they have a better system in place since last year for this and I have sent off a copyright infringement form... you should do the same if that's your photo. (and I am happy to help if needed)

 

I feel like buying one just so I can leave shitty feed back on his account lol.

 

I've been reading about the problem on eBay... That's just plain wrong man. I wonder if you really did buy one if you'd get his address LOL! But on a serious note I'd take it to small claims, or get a hold of an outside authority. That asshole needs to pay.



Not to change the subject.... Anybody want to take a whack at my Buick? I'd like to see it about 3-4 inches lower, possibly with astros, ice blue body with a blue-teal flake roof.... I tried couple times, but my skills are limited. I'll post some pics of my attempts too as soon as I put em on my Flickr.

For a "lowering and wheels" job, try posting another shot of your car. A straight-on side view is likely to get a better response here and make the changes more visible for you. A little better lighting wouldn't hurt either; shoot with the sun behind you.

Thanks for the advice, man. I'll snap a couple pictures tomorrow. As far as lighting goes, there first needs to be sun to have it behind my back LOL its been sunny the past couple day so maybe I'll luck out.

Sorry it took a while, but heres my attempt. I dont know how to do flake, nor am a good at swapping in other wheels... Please feel free to improve upon my rendering, I am by no means a pro at this like a lot of you guys. The flake I'm going to use is Roth sea sick blue, its a kind of blue-green trippin flake. Id love to see it with some 30 spoke wires, or maybe the 40 spoke buick style ones too....

I just pulled this image off google, from some scans of a brochure...

 

Funny thing. I got up this morning and started playing with the Buick LeSabre image just posted. Changed the color, photo-flaked the top, added wire wheels (from a photo I found via Google). Working on the old brochure drawing gave me a hint of what it must have been like to actually produce the original article (way beyond my talent!).

The copyright discussion brought up a topic I have wondered about. The original image must have been produced in 1965-6 time frame. Still under copyright by GM, I would guess.

Are digital alterations published here considered Fair Use? At what point do the changes we make constitute a new work of art? Is it then salable?

Can anyone recommend a good book or web site discussing these implications?

How do you get the flake effect like that?

 

I just want someone to photoshop her into my bedroom... or back seat. Oh so many possibilities.

 

Made several failed attempts to do it myself so looking for somebody to put some Crazy Purple paint on my brother's car. He needs some inspirations to get he painting done.



Maybe even move it to a better location.
