OK..Last time for this. BUT I'm really on the fence about painting the roof this weekend. Could I please see my 50 with a shiny "Brandywine" roof? The actual paint I'm considering is an 06 Lexus color called "Black Garnet Pearl"..If you could add the belt line trim that would be great as well..Thank you so much.

Hey guys I need some help. 1950 Plymouth, would like a 2" section across the bottum leaving the rear fenders uncut like they did in the November issue of Rod & Custom. 3" chop up front 4" in the rear. Wide whites, satin black paint and fender skirts. Feel free to give me some with your ideas.
    Thanks

This looks great! The 49-52's really need the small section, looks awesome James!

  10. Early 50s Mopars were always criticized for being an "ol' man's car" and the styling was considered "stodgy" and dated.

I think you done removed all the "stodgy" on this one! ;)

    Wow, this stuff is amazing.
I was given a couple of ideas for my '65 T-Bird from some HAMBers. Can someone photoshop some lime green rims with spiders on this car? This one is not mine but this is a better shot than I can probably do with mine. If you can also add a cut-out (dump tube) just behind the front wheel well I would appreciate it.
I'm going for more of a hot rod look than a custom.
I'm also thinking green flames on the upper front fender trailing over the wheel opening back to the front edge of the door.
Thanks in advance for anything you can do.

Looks like fun, so decided to play around with a pic of my heap... a little cartooning almost makes it look like a rendering, but i'm obviously no graphics guy

Hey guys, newbie here. Just sort of getting into the hot rods and customs. I currently own a 1969 Toyota Crown..... Odd ball I know, but please read on!

The first pic is of the original car:

Can you guys please help me out. I have an old roof lined up and want to tackle this, do you think the lines look right? Or should it be a bit more rounded? I'm really at a crossroads right now

    Cheers

    Dan

  22. Hi

TBH I think you are on a hiding to nothing trying to make this into some kind of pseudo lead sled. It´s just the wrong era entirely. But, I do think you could turn it into a mean looking coupe. There´s plenty of metalwork there to keep you busy.

LOL, I really like the body on that car front looks like a mini 70s chev pickup truck could make a killer mini panel truck. Red lines really help flat wheels like that look more appalling in my opinion. I might put some on my car will work with the Salmon color I think.

Agreed James D, and if I remember correctly some of those old Crowns had small V8 hemi's in them. Could be quite the little sleeper.

  27. That Crown's body has an early 60's Chrysler look to it. Maybe a Ramcharger drag car treatment would work too.
