No problem at all, I think flames like that give it a more sinister look LOL. Is cool looking the way it is also IMO (Blue looks kinda cool also).

Hi Gents - a couple of you were gracious enough to try a couple of different color treatments on my 50 Shoebox. I'm getting down the the wire for making a paint decision, and since it's going to eventually be my 4-yr-old daughter's car, I let her have some input. We like 2010 Challenger Plum crazy, so can one of you wizards transform my paint to something similar? Thanks!

I don't know what you've tried so far, but this is what a friend did to salvage the bumpers on his Plymouth, since he couldn't afford to have them re-chromed.

Crumple a piece of aluminum foil (about 12" x 12") into a loose ball, dump Coca-Cola on the foil and the bumper, and rub gently. He did it shiny side out, but I don't know if that's important or not. Start soft, and work harder (just a little harder!) until the rust goes away. Use regular Coca-Cola, not diet or lite or anything. When the foil ball gets smashed down, get another piece of foil.

He waxed it heavily to keep it from rusting again, and rewaxes it a couple times a year. This trick is for the chrome, like your front bumper and bumper guards, not for the stainless. I don't know any tricks for stainless, but I bet there's people here who do.

Don't use steel wool or sandpaper or other abrasives on the chrome!

Thanks for the tip! Might have to try that on the bumpers. The stainless looks good it is just all beat up in spots.

Perfect, thanks! Any chance of throwing these wheels on it? I'm most likely going to run it without the skirts.

If you can find a bigger one that would help a lot otherwise it would have to be made from scratch.
