    True that!
Back on topic, hate to break it to your little one, but the silver paint's still the best looking bubbles. The two-tone teal's not bad, but the original hubcaps would be smooth.
Glad to see you prefer the roof and trunk only two-tone. With the way the hood drops down past the beltline, it was distracting to have that extra 4" of color on the front fender and really no easy way to delineate the top color past the sideline of the car.
Lucky little girl to get to choose the new car colors.

  2. Added the 49 side chrome too, to continue the deception. Also pancaked the hood a little.

her second favorite was the bare metal or as you called it silver... and I liked that one as well... but gotta go with the boss on this one, teal on teal two-tone (and roof and trunk only was the way packard did it also back in the day)..
Now just to get it built!

DUDE Mr Jynx! Thanks man! It look killer. Im really diggin the paneled roof, I never thought about doing it that way, I always just saw the regular side paint dividers. It really works to me! I wanted that silver metal flake, But just enough to make it pop. you nailed it before i even knew that i wanted it haha
. Awesome dude. It looks real tough like that. Thanks so much, Didn't think mine would get attention.
If you have time could you roll one for me in white and silver? for a contrast ya know.

I went for the crew cab and extended cab versions. Crew cab would be less work, for those of us on the lazy side.:)[IMG]

^^Thanks, wish we had more requests like this. Seeing everyone come together to work on something and the ideas are the reason I come back to this thread.

Looks like we had similar ideas mrjynx. I too reshaped the rear fenderwell using the front fenderwell as a guideline. Also had to put some mags on there, those stock wheels kinda suck. lol

    Very cool, Eli!
I especially like this version because it keeps the Rambler's defining feature: the dropping rear roof line. I can't think of another car that used anything similar until the spectacularly ugly Nissan Armada.

Thanks! I almost ran the roof straight but decided against it. Though kinda goofy looking, it does give the car character, kinda like LN7 NUTs big fins. :D

  27. Been piddling with this one for a while. Lengthened the door a bit. Not the cleanest job, but I hope it gets the idea across. It'd be a hell of a project.

Thanks Nitrobother love the door lengthening and skirts too!! Think a 3 window could be possible and like you said, hell of a project!!! Great work!!

  30. a '63 Mercury is not an ugly car... but I will admit a '64 is better looking;)
