James D's version is kewl, but Madfish that version reminds me of a saying "you can't polish a turd, but you can roll it in glitter":D

  8. Anyone want to take a crack at HAMBing up this engine?
Realistic stuff that would be under moderately difficult level if actually attempted
    Some random ideas

Surface contours, textures, colors, applique of some fins, (Donovan style). W block shaped covers for the valve cover Radial fin cover for that cone-Ish doohickey. Different top cover and faux injection stacks?

Could someone do a patina on my truck, same type red on bottom, keep the white on top of the cab? Then with perfect paint?

    This thread is amazing...

I hadn´t forgotten about this Dawie - it´s just that you were right about it being trouble. I keep shooting for `sporty´ and keep ending up with `formal British stodge, but lower´!
This is about where i ended up. Oh well....

I took a whack at the Rover and all I could manage to do was make it into a British Studebaker. The shapes on this car just don't want to be cut up.

Which roof section did you use on that one? Looks like p6 but could be wrong. Gotta be honest, I'm loving the rover action! They're a challenge alright.

Yes, early Corvair 4-door. The B-pillar needed to be shifted back a bit, though.

This image popped up on one of the Studebaker threads on Facebook. Can one of you wizards replace the Deuce grille with a '39 Stude grille/nose? The yellow example has the optional streamlined headlights (which I love). But the standard headlights may be easier to integrate. Both versions would be appreciated, and it can remain hoodless. Thanks, in advance!

Here's my take on the Rover P4. I love a good "ugly car" challenge!
I decided to keep the British look, but "de-stogify" it a little. I dropped the bonnet line first, so it didn't fight the boot line at the other end. Added some Jaguar teardrop wheels, lengthened the doors a bit and stretched the wheelbase.

I just inherited my pops car and want to finish it like he always dreamed it.
    (Shoebox on the right)
Can anyone help and shave a little off the top. Say a 4/6 or 4/8 f/b chop.
    Straight and angled b pillar.
If it's not too much trouble maybe black cherry..
    Thank guys!!

Also, shameless plug, the one on the left is for sale to finish the shoebox.

The Rover looks slick with that roofline? What is it from?

I started to wonder what it would look like with a Karmann Ghia roof on it, is that what that is? Rear window looks different.

The roof is a much modified Jag XK150. I lengthened the doors, shortened the back end, sectioned it and raised the belt line then dropped it.
