  6. This may be a challenge but if someone could declutter the junk in front of my buddy's car. I really should have moved it before taking the photo but it wasn't a planned photo. 20170427_164254.jpg

Here's one I did for another post on the HAMB in '12. The poster wanted to know what a late '50s T-Bird station wagon would look like. I photoshopped the top image. I was contacted a short time I was contacted by a person whose wife found the image while searching images on the net and wanted to know if I had actually built the car. I told him it was all a figment of my imagination. He went about gathering parts to build an actual car. Yesterday he sent me a copy of his T-Bird newsletter with a story of his car, the car in the bottom image.

    Hi Guys,
I'm trying to jazz up my 58' below without breaking the bank. Could someone please 2 tone my 58 like the blue/cream car like picture 3. Try to match the silver the roof is. Feel free to add some scallops as well if ya free it'll add to it. Could I also get pics of the 58 two toned with the 2 rim wheel choices below. I appreciate your efforts as always.

To tell the truth, your photoshop version looks a hell of a lot better than the "real life" one. Just sayin'.

Not a photoshop but some ideas for you from a 2 tone 58 Chevy Biscayne I built on a small budget and owned several years ago.

I like it a lot, maybe the op will chime in?

  25. I cleaned the background up a bit and rechromed the rear bumper....Hope this will help you with your decision.

OK odd request, one I for sure can't do myself. I need to redo the chop on my '53 Ford at some point in the future, I did it in high school and it's a real butcher job.

Years ago I bought a complete roof from a '54 Skyliner glasstop and had been saving it to incorporate it into my '53 2 door sedan somehow, and this past weekend I bought a brand new hardtop windshield at an auction for $5 (my chopped one is cracked anyway.) I also have a complete '51 Mercury rear window with surrounding metal to use.

I don't want to hardtop my car, but I'm thinking about using the hardtop roof and the hardtop windshield to fix my chop. Can someone take this picture of this Skyliner (not mine, found it on the web, but it's a nice clean side shot) and add door pillars and quarter window frames from a coupe/sedan to it without altering the roofline or roof height? Also can we put the '51 Mercury rear window in it?

I hope that makes sense. I always assumed I would buy another 2 door sedan roof and redo the chop that way but now I'm wondering if I can just use the Skyliner roof and windshield without making the car into a hardtop.
