No need to Photoshop it, all you have to do is google ir[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Last one is a SEG-build on here.

That Olds coupe looks really good in that red color. I would have thought that the radiused rear wheel opening would look terrible but seeing it like that I think it looks great, proved me wrong.

A change in wheels and tires would help this thing. (I used Moose's photoshop as a basis)

    MOOSE you are a master,
can ya pull the front bumper?
    In our little town
we had a 51 Chev coupe set up JUST like that 50 years ago, when I had a younger man's face.. It was telephone company green with a yellow top.
Russell Carter owned it, and it was FFFAASSTT !!!!

" if it wasn't for the last minute, not much would get done.."

  11. I'm guessing it would look something like this....

Also I remember he put a huge pipe filled with concrete for a back bumper and it had screw on plugs at each side... !! ahh the memories,,,, wonder where it is now....?

  13. Wow, that looks amazing; thanks Moose and everyone.
The car is definitely going to be given a race look, but for the old cinder/beach tracks the '49/'50 88 made its name on, not the strip!
Is it possible to put some steel wheels/no hubcaps/no whitewalls and some of those old-school style graphics on it? I'm guessing the wheels would be a relatively simple paint but graphics might be trickier o_O
    Thanks again

  14. Are you doing yours like that now??

    1. All Things Pontiac

My wife and I could use some help with colors on our '31 Pontiac. I have several ideas but we would like to see them on the car to help make a decision we can both live with. The grille shell will be rechromed and the engine, wheels and tires will remain as you see them.
    1. A non-metallic red, darker than fire-engine red but not as dark as blood red (not burgundy or maroon) on the body and frame, with an off-white (vanilla shake?) firewall and fabric roof insert.

    2. Black body and frame, with the same off-white firewall and roof insert.

    3. Pale yellow, (Mayfair Maize from '65 and '66 Pontiac to be exact) on the body and frame with the same off-white firewall and roof insert.

    4. Mayfair Maize on the body only, with the frame, firewall, and roof insert black.

    5. Indian motorcycle "Indian Red" body and frame, with the off-white firewall and roof insert.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANK YOU in advance. 20170524_191254.jpg 20170524_192116.jpg

Can someone section my pv544 by taking 3" out of the hood and 3"out right above the rocker panel? For reference the rocker panels are just over 3"tall.Instead of raising the fenders I want to move the wheel openings up 3".This is not my car, mines taken apart right now.I really would appreciate it so please and thank you. I like the matte light green look that it appears to have on it, something else could look better, maybe, but I like the vibe it has now.

If anyone wants to play around with this, I'd love to see some ideas. Not too many late 50s Mercs getting worked on for inspiration.

I'm thinking paint it back to black, cruiser skirts, lowered, maybe a scallop paint job. Simple things right now, nothing too over the top.

    I did this several ways.
The first photo shows the car with the rockers removed and the wheel wells raised.
The second has the hood pie-cut, which is the only way to take 3" out of the hood with actually sectioning the car through upper body. Is that what you were thinking?

    For comparison, two more ideas.
I used the first version with the rockers removed, but with the full fenders raised up.
The last version sections the entire body through the hood and mid-section. PV 444 Section B 01.jpg PV 444 Section C 00.jpg

  26. My usual disclaimer...Your image viewing software and monitor settings will have an affect on how colors appear on your computer but these should give you some idea of how it would look....

I have to agree with low budget, I like the green you have on it now.

Wow Rotten 'N Kustom you've done a awesome job showing me my options. The po cut out the entire wheel openings out for some unknown reason.I took wheel openings out of some super rusty spare fenders I have.Their rust is why I never swapped the entire fender. My car is mostly rust free. That being said, due to the po's butchery,I'd have a start on the project moving the wheel openings up.The moved up wheel openings and removed rockers is actually my favorite version of your pics.I know this reply is long,if you made it this far thanks a bunch.

    @TurnpikeCruiser

Sorry, I took the easy way out and found a better picture to work with. Instead of black with scallops, how about a
metallic navy blue with silver panel outlines?
