Moose, you are a genius, all you other guys, definitely a bunch of of comedians. But I did like the chop, thanks for the suggestions, now just lay the windshield back a few degrees,
Oh, the longer WB looks OK too

Anyone who can lower my top about 2,5-3 inch? And maybe clean up the back ground in the photo. 13149944_1028210400566571_946104516_n.jpg

Wish the top was radically chopped more, and more tilt to W.S.
(plenty of head room in un-channeled car) starting to like cabriolets !!!

There's a debate going on elsewhere on the HAMB about whether it is advisable to chop a 1940 Ford 4-door sedan. The cons argue that the lines are destroyed by pinched window posts and a too short windshield.

I decided to give it the late-forties custom treatment and see what worked. Started by lowering the car with a slight tail-dragger look. Then I lowered the top by sectioning the car from the A-pillar back under the windows and above the chrome trim strip.

The next p*** took an inch or so from the side pillars. Of course, the whole rear slope would have to be reworked, but that was a given in a chopped sedan.

In order: Stock, Sectioned, and then Chopped.

I like your take on the 4 door rot 'n kustom. Id like to see your last version with the 3rd pillar canted forward so the rear door windows weren't so square. I think that would add to the sleek look you've got going.

IMO needs chopped MORE , post tilted more, so top hangs out over W.S. making a visor..

OK...Here it is. I didn't lay the windshield back further in the first rendering because the door post would also have to be laid back and I didn't care too much for the shape of the window opening...
