Thanks Ned that looks great, I’m on the fence about lowering it anymore than it is as our roads aren’t great and my stuff does see gravel once in a while. It needs tires as well, the ones that are on it are rollers, the problem is finding 14” tires in many sizes!

That 50 is certainly interesting and right up the alley of my fascination with one of a kind builds. Would love to know more about the actual design and build. Would also like to hear that is has been rescued and worked on again.

 

Who wants to take a stab at this? I was thinking Banger Motor, lowered with reverse eyes springs, dropped axle (2/3 inches) the same lowering at the rear, blackwalls and black wires, and a subtle color.

This is so cool! Old6rodder recommended I ask for a little inspiration here for my ‘61 Lancer Gasser/AWB project. We’ve got the front frame rails done, but I would like to move the front wheel well forward about 6” before we weld in the spring perches.
For round #2, I would like to go full AWB and move the rear axle up about a foot.
I’ve got a Valiant parts car to provide most of the needed panel replacement pieces.
Would’ja, could’ja purdy please see what you can do with this pic and push those wheels up? I plan to keep the original patina, but a white or silver roof might be a nice touch.

Sorry I don’t agree, unless your a C-1 aficionado they were considered a POS by most. Hard to drive, slow, terrible ride, etc. It could have been a real basket case when the guy started. I would like to see it don right too..spend $50k to have $25k car....

 

I've got the perfect (maybe not perfect, but it's available to be cut up some more!) body to donate for the cause to recreate what Mr. Moose envisioned!

I just need some help getting it done! Im still a noob to this sheet metal work!

I get it about the early Corvettes.
My '62 Corvette had the same front end parts as my '52 Chevy coupe!

 

So cool! Thank you!! Seeing it makes all the difference. Now I GOTTA do it!

 

Can I get the bling taken out and replaced with some steelies and beauty rings or maybe some Artillery Wheels.

I was on the Studebaker Butchers FB page, today, and I saw this post (edited):

"Ok, so follow me on this thought journey. I was looking at Champ truck pics and something clicked and I saw something in my head. A 1950/1960s style Champ truck kustom roadster. Remove the roof, add some lakes pipes, spider caps on chrome reverse wheels, white, tuck n' roll vinyl bed cover, add the right striping and such, maybe some appleton spot lights, etc...Oh, and padded white vinyl tuck n' roll wheelwell inserts!"

I found a different image than the one he posted because his was low resolution. This specimen happens to have one spotlight, but it sticks out in the wind too much, so feel free to add a matching pair that are better placed. Also, those mirrors need to go bye-bye. Lastly, it needs to be lowered, maybe with narrow whitewalls?

I'm not sure if this exercise is even worth exploring, but once I see a rendering, I'd love to share it with him. Thanks in advance!
