Well, went to Mooneyes this weekend and now I am torn... I originally wanted to channel the body just enough to cover the frame rails, unchopped. Now thinking, maybe no channel (more traditional) but with a moderate chop to the top. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does someone feel like chopping this 4 door Buick for me? About 4 front, 6 rear. Removing the stock window.

I don't understand which window you want removed, so here's a straight out 4/6 chop :D

Sorry, I meant the back window. Probably going to replace it with a late 40's GM so the back window wouldn't be a big wraparound stocker.

Thanks for doing this. Could I ask you to chop it a little more, maybe a 5"F, 7"R or even 6"f, 8"R ?

This thread's great! Can someone take a stab at mine? I want to see what it would look like with black steelies and baby moons, one with white walls and one with black walls. THANKS!

Well shoot, I was thinking if you were willing to go that far you might spring for the two door conversion too...:D

  20. Anybody ever wonder what a deuce would look like with the roof moved back to the fall-away point of the decklid? I think I'd like to build one of these someday. I know it's a crappy 'shop job, I'm just wondering about your thoughts on the look.

LOL, I was waiting for you to mention that. I actually have a lot of time in the car suiciding the rear doors. If I was smart in the beginning I would have converted over to 2 door and then the chop :D Don't mention anything about the interior I just had the seats redone so they don't look like this.

Fryguy, those doors look slick, I don't think I'd even chop that car! Nice job on that ride:D

(I did another with the taller chop, laid the window down some, trimmed it, and contoured the roof to match-just to the top of the smaller part of the rear side window)

Thats what I am trying to decide, if I should chop or not. I like the latest concoction that you came up. Just trying to figure out how I want the sail panels to slope. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to photochop the car.

Thanks man. I'd like to chop it as well. Just trying to decide if it will be worth it in the end to me. Just don't know if I can get the 4 door chop to flow right :)

Indeed it was - and you received the cordial version. The fact that 6 more pages have been posted without anyone taking a stab at your car speaks volumes. Although some of us can accomplish what you'd like quicker - none can merely whip it out! And @ the end, it will still look like crap because of the angles and surroundings provided.

People like James D are artists that are donating their valuable time in this thread. Show a *tad* more respect and utilize common sense when 'expecting' FREE artwork. This is one of the most consistently refreshing threads on the HAMB.

If those pictures are the only ones you have - move the car and take more. Simple! Lot less time on your part regardless compared to what you're asking.

I think you should do it like the one at the bottom of page 135. You also need to make sure you keep that rear wing window. I think that it will keep the look it needs. You should look up Bo Huff's Dixie Deluxe for a good example of a chopped more door.

Hey coke-bottle, That ride is SICK! I've been thinkin about using a green like that for my Barracuda, but a flat pearl. Oh yeah:cool: I think you should just clear the bare metal and callit a day.

  30. Something like this? Didn´t know if you wanted a hood or not, but I thought it probably wouldn´t fit over that Hemi anyway!
