  1. Jan 22 13.jpg Hi guys,

Heres my under construction 34 Chev master sedan. Plan is to have it done by October 2023 for our daughters wedding (so much for "no pressure") We decided that we would go for a bright colour rather than a purple which we have used on past vehicles.

So we decided on some variant of "Kawasaki Green" And when I google the colour, there seems to be a bunch of variants availabe. But this one is nice and bright. My highly talented car painter is planning to add some yellow pearl to make it better (Hes been spraying hot rods for over 50 years so I just drop the car off and leave the rest to him. and he hasnt let me down yet.

Can somebody kindly add the Kawasaki Green to my 34 Chev so I cn see how it will look by wedding time.

Thanking you all in advance. Kawasaki Green 1.png

  2. OK I looked at the various color charts for Kawasaki green and they are all different. I finally looked at some images of actual Kawasaki motorcycles and depending on the lighting they look more like what I did to your car. It may not be exact but it should give you a pretty good idea of who it might look. I also too the liberty of adding hood and door handles and got rid of the modern car in the background:eek::D As you can see by my avatar I like Chevy's so I really like seeing what your doing with yours!!

  3. Awesome stuff. Thanks very much.

We have the pot of paint already (a local paint shop closed down so the Kawasaki/Lime green is in the can) and it looks pretty close to the BS381-KAW1 green I put up. The plan was to get it close to the colour that Kawasaki had on their race bikes back 20 or so years ago. I think they were known as "Team Green" back then.

The guy building the car for me (my superpowers lie elsewhere) has done an incredible job getting it that low, with full suspension and 31 tall rear tyres.

  4. Any chance you could do our car in the BS381-KAW1 version of Kawasaki green?

My wife wants to see the car in the brighter "Kawasaki Green"

    Many thanks
    Todd

Random thoughts. I did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for. What would the rounder 28/9 front fenders look like on this chopped 30/31? chopped 31.JPG [IMG]

Looks like this is the first post of 2023 in this thread, so Happy New Year to all you talented photoshoppers. Last night was the maiden voyage for my 52 garage find. I’d like to clean up this picture by removing the vehicles in the background. Please help me out with this. Thank you!

Personally like the shorter wheelbase and the axle centered the most. But, whatever you decide to do it will be a cool ride.

Sometimes all you need is a little less emphasis:

  27. OK, how about a challenge... I recently added this to the driveway, a mildly modded '55 Customline with a 413-4spd combo. I'm not a fan of the grill and overly large parking lights. Options?
    1955-ford-customline_021.jpg

I also want some scallops - tomato red with black and white edging, maybe? - and a white or silver metalflake roof (above the drip rails). (I have a set of Lancer's here awaiting installation...and some striping is in its future as well.) 1955-ford-customline_007.jpg

    Go for it!

  29. Yup, that's fairly close to what was floating in the old grey matter. Thanks!

I'll have to think about that roof paint - dunno if that's making me do the happy dance. Maybe I need to go lighter ... or darker ... or totally radical and get some wild stuff layed out. Lace, fish scales, endless lines, etc.
