Thanx guys for the work on the Packard, it looks better, but it looks like she still ain't gonna' be too purdy no matter what work is done to that face....

  3. someone on a different site photoshopped my car to be a lead sled. 20230805_110846.jpg 20230805_110846.jpg
they also made a pretty good attempt at fixing my paint image-130.png

  4. Moved the headlights outboard as I felt like the 'eyes too close together' look made the car even more rotund looking. Also got rid of some of the grille extensions.

Dual headlights on a vintage body doesn't sound like a great idea.

    How 'bout a rear wing?

    (. . . and, maybe, a 'chute pack?)

Thanx James D the headlights moved outboard do make a much better looking front end.

  9. It's a lot more "normal car" looking.
Looking at this car, I ended up quite liking it as stock (well, once you've removed the giant waterfowl from the hood).
Maybe just embrace the Packardness of it and make the rest of the car more of a kustom statement.
Is the car you showed the aero two door? Cause I think those are nice shape..

Yup, that's the one with the less than perfect face, but I love your idea for the chop, etc.....

  11. This is the look we are going for.
It is so cool to see other warped minds and see their visions. Everyone has a look that they love. Others may hate that look. That’s what makes this this hobby fascinating.

    Thanks H.A.M.B designers.

A while ago there were some posts about doing some unusual or different images. Since Corvair wagons are of interest
of late maybe a wagon with a Nomad influence? Or not. wagon.jpg

  14. Looking at this, I'm almost surprised Chevy didn't build these, as it would have needed minimal new panels. Starting with the Coupe, you get a longer tail (strangely, you'd think the wagon would have got that too) and they could have even recycled the back window too. I lowere the rear arches to make it more Nomad and also to give some family resemblance to the Impala. Makes me wonder if '61 Impala side trims wouldn't look good also. Corvair-coupe-Nomad.jpg

Something different. Can someone cut off the roof, side window and door frames, and add a green and white striped surrey top? Think Fiat Jolly. Thanks!

Better yet -- Lose the bumper guards, chop off 1/2 of the top and make an El Commander.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with the world of kustoms, but quad headlights are very, very traditional. There's even an entire thread on canted quads right here on the ol' HAMB. You might want to check it out.

  25. @themoose is a magician, I tell ya!

This is the last pic taken of me and hotrodA after 32 years together, just before it got hauled up to its new home in New Hampshire.
I got all sentimental and wanted to keep it, it just needed some cleanup up in the background.
No improvement on my mug, but it’s a keeper.
    Thanks much @themoose !

This is a bit different but could anyone who does pinstriping show some different colors on this blue, other than white? I'm going to have the car striped Sat and am looking for some good color ideas. I know this is quite small but I can't show the whole car because it's too new
