Does anyone have any information on “The pink chariot” built in Burlingame, Ca by Shelly feinberg in the mids 50’s. 7015D4B7-A597-444E-ABCB-A42D7214301F.jpeg 40035487-239B-4DC8-9989-73CF3AD33583.jpeg 2C0422EE-0AE3-4EF7-802E-98FF4E5B42D8.jpeg

I’d guess he was one tough dude. With a name like Shelly and painting his hot rod pink, he’d have to be.

I was thinking.... why the hell would you put the exhaust outlet that close to your ear?

I guess one advantage would be the desire to to put your foot to the floor constantly would be diverted if every time you do you have to listen to the exhaust cackle that close to your head.

Yeah can't say I dig the pink either, maybe with his name and a pink car he liked to fight... alot....

You have to remember the colors on new cars in the mid fifties to appreciate his color choice.

Most people on here don`t like the trends from days gone by. They only like the current traditional build styles. I think it`s pretty cool.

It’s a stock ford color, I think it’s coral sunset? But looks more like dusk rose to me… I have the may 58’ issue of speed mechanic on the way to the house now

Sheldon, perhaps? If I met an American called Sheldon Feinberg I'd bet that he's Jewish. I ***ume he had ways of dealing with all the pretexts people have for picking on other people.

I’m just mostly curious why he would want a hot exhaust so close to his elbow when driving and so close to his nuts when getting in or out?
Especially with the plastic (polyester) pants guys wore back then. If it was a coral paint it’s cool, if it is just a plain old solid I think I’d have to p*** personally. Just my rotten taste!

I’d drive the hell out of it.

  14. The fun factor far outweighs any color issues. (Non from my perspective)
    I’d drive It
    Exhaust? Who cares.

Not necessarily, A set of headers I ran once that exited level with the exhaust ports left a mild burn on both shins

I painted my '36 three window lavender (after I chopped it 5-1/4") in March of 1957.
Pinks, lavenders, purples were 'all the rage' in the '50s.
If you painted your ride a cool lavender or purple...It was Real George! 'Cool' came later
