    Bob Brisette in the Quincy tank also held the record for the fastest speed at El Mirage for quite a few years at 227. In June of '62 Bob Funk was killed in the Quincy-Brisette tank when he got off course and hit a mound of pucker bushes at over 200.

    You're a little busy driving to blow a horn at the top end. The reason John Peter's replaced the Chevys was because the Hemi's were going faster. John does have a real train horn that we blow when we are in a parade or are going to start the car in the pits.
     
  3. I kinda figured you were a little busy to use a horn. That just goes to show you can't believe everything ya read on the Internet. :) Thank you for taking the time to answer some questions and tell some stories from the past.
