Just got it back from Accurate Auto in Hyde Park, Ma. They really did a bang up job on the on the exhaust.

have a few issues to work out in the carb dept. but she's coming along.

Not since 1940something ....... Does that change anything?? In the pics I posted before it was just wiped down with Gibbs over what's left of paint primer and bare metal . Passenger side has a little nicer paint !!! Ha ha

 

Super sick news since losing my pants and my inter web connection to the world.

Sean Brayton is the baddest mofo I know.
He texts me daily with his mechanical updates while he builds and fine tunes a few cars entered in our little race.
Honestly, he is bringing a fleet of amazing cars and vintage motor bikes, starting from 1907.

He continually asks, "what do you need buddy". I usually tell him I'm all good down here, just making props pal!

But I did mention it would be super cool if he mentioned The Rog to his pal Jeff Decker, the amazing early motorcycle sculptor and collector of all things vintage.

So while I was away this last week, I returned home to a message that Jeff Decker will be attending the Trog! Sick!!!

But no motocycle to run...??? Until the incredible Sean Brayton dug up a Flyin Merkel! Even sicker!!!

So, you can now feast your eyes on the magnificent Merkel on our very beach!
Ah, and the jockey ain't to bad either!

What a race it shall be.

i'm planning on coating her in gibbs and washing her a few good times after the race but mother ocean is the reason i didn't get any of the metal repair work done yet ! i have all of the patches here but figured i would not subject that fresh metal to the harsh salty water . i'm looking forward to meeting all of you guys in jersey !! see ya soon !!

* New stromberg 97
* Fuel regulator and block
* Few little goodies

I set my goal 1 month before the race and it looks like i should be running by the end of next weekend, plenty of testing time

Racers!

Check in will be all day Friday during the Starlux Hotel party.

We will have a table and check in across the street at the two vintage Airstreams.

You will be able to pull your car in and sign in, or walk over from the party to let us know you have arrived.

Last year we had a few cancellations at the last minute. We need to make sure you are present so we can set up the beach drags and pair the cars or bikes properly.

We will make sure you have your number on door, all your specs on cars to relay to the spectators during the race, and drivers name.
