    Ready for some tail lights.

    red349-1-25-1.jpg

These are the Rocky Tribute 41 Chevvies. I have a soft spot for them just because Rocky does.

    red349-1-25-2.jpg

Now, the FlamedAbone U-Weld-It battery box kit.

    red349-1-25-5.jpg

    Mostly square box.

    red349-1-25-6.jpg

    Holder down thing.

    red349-1-25-7.jpg

And, installed. Don't forget the vent.

    red349-1-25-8.jpg

    How about some shock mounts?

    red349-1-25-3.jpg

L and R shocks, but still missing something...

    red349-1-25-4.jpg

Jenga, headlight setup. Remember to make sure you can turn the tires lock to lock without banging onto your rather expensive '34 Commercials. Guess how I learned that one..

    red349-1-25-9.jpg

Gotta have speed holes in your headlight brackets. Still need to tune em up and grind the welds, but this is pretty much them.

    red349-1-25-10.jpg

On there. And a bonus, they are the same left and right.

    red349-1-25-11.jpg

A few more knick-knacks and this sucker will be completely assembled.

    See ya, -Abone.

This is the quickest update ever.

If you are a rumble lid only purist, skip this part, cause this sucker is gonna be a trunk. Trunk support like a real human, rather than the all-thread I have been using like some kind of a cretin.

    red349-7-25-1.jpg

Back in the day, some dude added big honkin hinges on the outside. I have been using a few of the old holes as the handle.

    red349-1-25-1.jpg

    Now, a handle.

    red349-7-25-3.jpg

And this is it for the rear end.

    red349-7-25-4.jpg

For some reason, mirrors are always the last thing to get stuck on my cars. These Pete and Jakes swan necks are my favorite.

    red349-7-25-5.jpg

And that's it. This car is now 100% mocked up and complete.

    red349-7-25-6.jpg

She still needs a bit of metal work and some knick knacks her and there, but other than that, this pile is ready to come apart for body and paint.

Probably not gonna have this little car done before then, but I'll be there for sure. I'll save you a cold beer.

Love your work. I did the same battery box idea using an old nicad battery case. I went one step farther, I made wood spacers fastened to the case and lid to make sure the battery stays put.

I nearly bought a nice set of 42 Chevy tails this spring purely because they make me think of @Rocky. Cars looking great.

The quickest update ever. Bare metal means only one thing.

    It's now officially bodywork season.
