I'm sure this is a rehash, but....

What car do you regret selling, molesting, crashing, burning, burying, trashing, keeping, trading, or parting.

    When I was 16, I had a '55 2 door post. DelRay.
Apparently, at one point in its life it was a pretty potent street racer.
    Weren't they all....
It had a built 327 and a 4 speed in it...

By the time I got it, it had recieved a crappy paint job complete with lotsa bonda, but it still had all the vintage speed decals in the rear quarter windows. The rear springs had sagged, probably from healthy abuse.
It sat just a little nose high.
Looking a pictures now...it was perfect.

Being young, stupid, and stupid, I had full intentions and dreams of "pro-street."
The decals were peeled without remorse.
Dropped spindles were hastily installed without even the slightest wandering thought of a straight axle...or even leaving it, as I would see it now, perfectly perfect.
Here is a pic of how it was when I sold it....soul stripped away.

I try not to dwell on it,
but I would be lying if I said I didn't miss them all at least a little.

    some more than others,
and some might take a minute to remember
but I chose every one of them because I liked them.

not once did I ever buy a car just because I needed a car, any car.

they were all hand picked by me for me.

the most recent few are still fresh in my mind
    and I do miss them.

namely a certain chopped big block swb '67 Chevy pu
and a heavily stepped on '36 Plymouth coupe

one totalled in a wreck, don't know if it was trying to kill me or save my life
and the other needed to make way for the next project, that I love just as much, if not more.

only car i miss was my vw bug.(dont laugh) car was a purpose built road race car.

tube chassis, huge wilwood brakes on all corners. 1994 corvette lt1 motor with fuel injection, porsche 930 trans, carbon kevlar wheels,

car ran 10.20 just topping out 3rd gear
top speed at bridge hampton race track was 174 mph

car was fast handled like it was on rails and i daily drove it.

Dang, I've had over 200 cars......but a few stick in my mind more than others.
    I miss these:
1956 black Ford Victoria hardtop, 312 breathed on some. This is when I learned there is such a thing as too much carburetion. H.S car
1954 Ford pickup, chopped, lotsa custom work, purple metalflake, etc.
It had a plexi windshiels that was awful at night. 308 Hudson
mountain motor. Owned with a high scool buddy. H.S. car
1948 Ford coupe, black, '57 vette motor, a great driver
1961 Vette, built 350, fast and expensive fun
    1929 A sedan, built 327, college car
1936 Ford panel truck, 302, college car. Also had a '36 ambulance at the
    same time.
1964 Falcon Sprint, 302, lightly breathed on, lotsa fun.
1947 Chevy woody, bought it for $500, killed a bear and resold it for $1,500.
1941 Indian Chief, just a few thousand original miles, like new, nothing ever touched on it, absolutely the best unrestored motorcycle I have ever seen in my life. I sold it to buy another bike I no longer have. The ass that bought it tore it apart, stripped the paint all off, (He didn't like the black and maroon colors) and sold it as a basket case. I rediscovered it, and didn't buy it because I was heartbroken. I shoulda bought it back anyway.
1957 MGA Sorry, but it was pure FUN! When it ran, that is. Now I have a '59 Austin Healey Bugeye to take it's place as British folly.
1971 Honda (Geez, sorry again!)750 chopper I built in '73, Amen frame, etc. Back in my scarey to little old lady days. My HD friends quit talking to me when I sold my '57 Pan in order to build it. I'm recreating it now.

the vehicle that i regret selling the most is not HAMB friendly. it was a '99 Ford Ranger that I had on air ride and it was bodydropped on 20" wheels. the guy i had do the custom work to it butchered it to death so i had to get rid of it over numerous reasons.

    37 chevy coupe,

  8. I regret selling my high school ride, a '63 1/2 Galaxy 427 4v with 4 speed. Ming green, black bench seat interior with magnesium spoked kelseys (only know of one other set) with one coil cut from the front springs and Ford supplied link type traction bars.
My 61 Austin Healy Sprite with 12A Mazda power iss missed also.
The 27 "mod" will never be sold, even if it is 'glass.

Of all the cars I've sold I miss my T-bucket the most. It wasn't really HAMB-friendly, but it was a helluva lot of fun, and incredibly reliable. We used to take it on fairly long trips regularly.

I miss the fact that by the time I came around, my dad had gotten rid of all his cars. My bro may have gotten to grow up on the dragstrip playground, but all I got was pictures, stories, and a load of jealousy-ridden drool....

For my sake, but mostly for his, I wish he was able to hold onto just one of his toys to pass on down the line...

Out of all the car's i've had (just under 40 now), the one and only car i honestly wish i never sold was a '66 Impala SS..
Bought it from the original owners kid with 59,000 miles on it..tottaly original and 99.9% rust free.
Drove it every day rain or shine, even took it on a few trips..took it out to Indiana once which was the longest.

I actually located the car a few years back, and the current owner was restoring it..seem's the asshat i sold it to didn't do much but take it all apart!
    Anyway, he won't sell it..

Thats the only one i want back.

My first car, a 59 chevy biscayne, blue and pearl white with grey tuck and roll interior. One I sold recently and probably should have kept, a 67 chevelle 300 deluxe.
