Looks great! I saw it at the donut shop last Saturday and it looks even better in person.

  2. I'm surprised, about, you not feeling much of a difference.
The front brakes usually provide, I don't know, 80%-90% of the stopping power.
Do some fine tuning and you'll feel the difference.

the stopping is alot more controlled and consistent, you have to remember the brakes i have on the rear were desiged to stop a 5k+ lbs car and the front brakes are off of a 40 ford, so just having the rear stopped it plenty. however now there is alot less stress on the braking system, i havent seen a significant change in stopping distance maybe 10-20%.

  5. Didnt the rear tires just drag along when you slammed on the brakes, before?
    Anyhow, looks good.

Hey, I was admiring this beautiful little car and then, POW, got hit right between the eyes with a ringer! The words "good ride" and the unbelieveable front spring setup in this picture do not compute. When a spring is heated and bent like that, front or rear, it does not function any longer as a spring, so there is no front suspension under this wondrous blue dreamboat, is there?
Love the car, hate the spring.

actually i replaced the spring pack recently with more leafs and it rides alot better, still using the bottom leaf though, and it has plenty of arch. havent had an issue yet and it handles great.

    That is a nice coupe.
Totally understated and clean. I love it.
A word about the brake thing though, and please don't think I'm bashing or anything, you've prolly heard it all before.
But if you think/know the rears out perform the front when stopping, put an adjustable proportioning valve in the system and find a spot with some light dust or gravel on it and try a panic stop or 2 from about 30-5 mph.
Adjust prop. valve until the fronts lock up about 2' before the rears.
If the rears lock up first and you have to do a panic stop for real the car will have a strong tendency to go asshole around teakettle and that ain't good.
With rear only the car will slide to a stop in a fairly straight line as the momentum of the front tries to drag the rear along.
If the rears lock up first and the fronts are slowing the car down, the rear will act like it's on ice and the momentum will try to push the rear around the front, and that is some scary shit.
Ask me how I know.;) LOL
    P.S. I dig the blue M/C.
