64 Impala four door, 327 bored .40 over, 350 crank, one step hotter than rv cam, with exhaust and intake about 20% larger. I wonder just exactly what carb will be best for this project. I just purchased the Holley Street Avenger intake manifold made for (idle to 7200). I live high altitude and want to family cruise this car with a custom tear drop trailer in tow. Car is shaved, welded and blocked, just about ready for paint. Want to re live those days in the 60's taking my family through the national parks. I'd like a carb that's trouble free and does not load up when at 12000 ft. nor choke at sea level. Not easy I've found. Any suggestions?

    Best regards,

    Guacamole

  2. Hey Ray, Ask on the main board. This one is more for the site itself. I,ve done that trip through all the parks
including Canyon De Chelly and Mesa Verde and had a ball.
What a great country you live in.

    Thanks,

We live in the mountains about 45 minutes north of Santa Fe at 7500 ft.
