We went through tech on Sunday morning. No problems, just a couple of minor fixes. Also, forgot to get some saftey items, so off to D.J. Safety co. for some items.

We started the car in the pits a couple of times, every thing seemed alright. Then a third time, we started to lose oil pressure F$%^@$%!!!!
So, off with the oil pan !

Turns out that the steel tube from the oil pump to the block worked it self loose. Easy fix, but no fun. Thanks Billy M & John B .

Well, getting back to normal, a little time to update! We made our first run for the shakedown. The car ran great, drove straight. everything looking good. What a blast. there is nothing like a drive down the salt !!!
The first thing I had to do was call my buddy Paul Nxxxxxm , who said it would blow up the first run. So I called him from the end of the track. The best phone call I ever made !!!

OH NO NO NO,,, We ran 96 m.p.h. on the shakedown run. I shifted it @ "3000 r.p.m. Everything went fine. She pulled like crazy, shifted fine. No problems. Went down the track straight as an arrow. We pulled the hood side panel off @ the end of the track to check the engine temp.Since the "Boat anchor" of a motor is filled with concrete, we wanted to see what the temp was. I was not sure my temp gauge was accurate in the filled block & head. Temp was fine. We are running straight alchohol , so it runs cool. We checked the plugs, nice & wet, well, just enough. So we got back in line to make a second run.

Sorry guy's for the delay, It's too painful.:(

So, as I was saying. made the shakedown run at 2500 RPM @96 mph out the back. We checked the plugs, everything looked great, so we pushed the car right back to the starting line. Ran again the same day. Shifted it @ 3000 RPM for a nice ride @ about 132 mph. Running like a dream. Checked the plugs again, nice & wet, no problems anywhere. May as well get back in line again, right ? So we pushed back in line again the same day. Almost didnt get to run. the long course had already shut down for the day, but the starter was cool & let us run the 3rd time. Pretty good for one day's worth or racing ! Shifted it @ 3500 RPM. Running beautifully. What a ride ! Timming slip say's 153 mph & some change. I cant believe this thing is running so well. Still seems like there is more there. back to the pits for the day.
