Its been a while. It seems I used to post my life on the HAMB. It was like a diary or something. Seems like life is spinning fast, so fast I sometimes cant even slow down without getting dizzy.

My phone and "social media" have gotten the best of me I suppose. Things are immediate. Everything is documented as it happens .... "insta" but it seems like years from now, when you want to see it again, it will all be gone. Almost like it never happened. Man, sometimes I see something cool and cant find it five minutes later! You cant store the internet in your basement. You know what I mean? Like old magazines, or records.

Speaking of basements... Something crazy happened!

A couple months back a friend called and told me he just bought an old hot rod from a kid who got it out of his uncles basement. It was walled in, like a tomb! Evidentially they built a house around it in the 60s sometime, maybe they intended to make a garage door and never did. I dont know really, but they had to knock down a wall to get it out!

I saw pictures and was floored. Its a channeled model a roadster with a flathead and a 40 dash. Even with the spring in front front end the proportions are great! Its crazy. I think it was built in the mid 1950's judging from the parts.

I made a deal for the car and have been putting it back together. The engine was taken apart years ago, like they were working on it, but just stopped. Everything was in the car though. Its all there! I am trying to put it together with as many as the original parts as possible. Nuts and bolts and everything.

Just got it to run the other day. Plan is to get it running and driving and take it to the round up. This car is a true time capsule. Its so cool I cant even take it!

Thats really a cool story. It looks like its really happy to be out and having a look around...and can't wait to rumble but the eyes are still adjusting from being couped up so long. Good stuff and congratulations...

very nice find, can't be too many cars sealed up in time capsules. Interesting to see how it was channeled over the frame.

Positively dripping with soul. Any shots of it being unearthed from its tomb?

    Bob,bob,bob, you lucky bugger! Congrats
What is the seat or seats in there like?
Is that fuel block so early it's hand stamped?
I can't believe there are this many finds out there. I've talked to so many older gentleman lately that seemed to completely missed hot rodding altogether and I wonder how they don't remember these cars driving around. They must've been blind.
