Topless. Open air. In the wind. Honestly, there's nothing like it. Slicing through the air with a full view of the world around you. You're out there for all the world to see. You can see, hear and feel everything. It's easy to fall in love with the road, when you're in a roadster. Coupe guys will never get it. I took a lady for a ride in my T Bucket and we came to a stop light. Her words defined the roadster experience. "It feels like I'm naked."

Damn....... I just love 'em. What about you?

Light weight, low and usually lots of power , what’s not to love

I wholeheartedly agree.... I sold my '27 T back in '06-'07 to pay off my mortgage getting ready to retire, it didn't take long to start missing the late night rides along the beach during the SoCal summers. Last year I finally got another one, the one I had been wanting for some time - a real highboy; '28-'29 on '32 rails. It needs everything but it runs and drives great.
When I retired I moved north and inland so no more beach rides but living out in the country there's plenty of scenic drives and it's still the best thing ever on a warm summer night. (even bundled up on a cold night!) Roadsters Forever!

Me too, but with a caveat. I know some ladies that I do NOT want to see naked and I've seen some women that definitely were NOT "ladies" that I would like to see naked. ;)

Sold my '30 a while back and missed it since the day it left. Working on getting my T roadster together for the Fall run. Still a pile of parts but getting there. 046.JPG

thumbnail (3).jpeg thumbnail (2).jpeg 20180523_185250.jpg Love them roadsters. Here's mine. The 27T is one I built 15 year's ago and lost in a divorce 11 year's ago. I was able to get it back fron the guy that bought it all those years ago. Only have to fix a couple things he messed up like those huge mufflers he installed. But I got it back again and it ain't going anywhere.

Love your "A". Those "A" highboys on Deuce rails have a truly classic profile that you just can't beat. If I were to ever build another open car, that would be pretty much be the combo.

  21. Had one since I was 13. I love 'em too!

  22. don't forget the smells...........the fresh mowed lawn in the summer, a barbecue on a weekend, the guy in the car in front is smoking a cigar, in the fall the smell of someone burning leaves, or maybe a first fire in a fireplace to take the chill out of the house, black birch or pine being run through a wood chipper, fresh asphalt, a brief shower evaporating off hot pavement,...............a new bakery near by?

  24. I just drove mine for pretty much the first time yesterday. It was a pretty great feeling I think? I'm not sure actually as it was 95 degrees out and I may have been having a heat stroke! :p

  26. I haven't had mine out yet this year. The weather has been pretty good the last few weeks, but other projects have kept it parked. 17987_785661701548039_5471836990294192356_n.jpg

Timely thread for me today as I was busy mocking up my 30 ish race car style roadster today. I snagged what I think is about a 30 Chevy pickup grill shell the other day to go with the 28/30 or so Chevy frame and dug out the 29 A cowl that I found on the side of the road a few years ago to see if it matched the radiator shell in height. Admittedly at this point you have to use some serious imagination to visualize the end product. IMG_0125.JPG
