I'm looking at the baremetal Deuce on the cover and it looks like the trim in the center of the hood is really crooked .....oh and I've had mine for a week now and it's still in the plastic. I need to be in the right headspace before reading it.

Awesome - that means I'll get mine in about a month!!

I subsribed end of last year, and #42 was the first issue I'd ever seen - thanks to the HAMB for putting me onto it. Well worth the money even for someone earning thrid world currency!!

Just got mine, and the Gazette on the same day!! I was in Hot Rod heaven for about 2 hours.

I like the B-400 ok, but that roadster is a work of art!

I picked mine up at the Detroit Autorama today, and its an amazing issue. I never wanted that Nationals at Indy S****book article to end!

As good as TRJ is, & as much as they care about each issue, I can't believe they run that ad. I know that the ads help pay the bills but that thing might as well be a Tampax ad. Damn it's awful.

The rest of every issue is just plain amazing though. Love it.

Wish mine would come, still a no show in today's mail. Maybe the mailman is enjoying it instead of me. So far, the new subscription is a bit hard to enjoy. :(

Instead of mid summer, got mine Friday. Something has changed in the shipping dept. Nothing beats bare naked hotrods (well amost nothing) Another great issue. Cheap at twice the price!

  9. I'll jump on this band wagon. TRJ never dissapoints me. I flip back through old issues and you can see how they have evolved from outstanding to Icon status. I have met several of the people working their and they are all great folks. Steve's p***ion is unrivaled, his appreciation for the Hot Rod and preserving what it is has no equal (except maybe you guys:). Few imitations, but nothing comes close.

Takes me about two weeks to finish reading it. Seems there is so much good reading there that I go back and reread most every article. Some of them two or three times. I guess I'm a addict. I subscribe to a couple other mags, but I could give them up. BUT I'm keeping TRJ.

Great issue. I particularly liked "The Art of the Hot Rod" and the Spence Murray article about Valley Custom.

I've noticed that too. You'd think that a wheel company would know that they need to present their product attractively, rather than showing something that looks like a high school stage prop.

Rodders Journal; a great book IF you get the subscription you paid for. It has been 4 weeks since they were mailed and still no book. After I complained to them they said they won't do anything about a missing issue until April 1. The great editorial job is offset by the poor handling of "non delivery" issues. There is no longer a benefit to a subscription unless aggravation is a turn on.
I hope they get the message and change their policy...I suspect others have the same problem.

Ditto to this, when you pick up a copy of a early Hot Rod mag, Honk, Custom Rodder, etc. your picking up history, someday these will be like that which is why I have the complete set......LOVE BOOKS!

That would be my dream to have my 32 Ford V12 powered Lincoln in the Rodders Journal.

    Thanks

Okay so I've been waiting and waiting..... I saw issue #43 on my local stand like a friggin' month ago!! Why can't those ********rs send out the subscription copies in a reasonable amount of time. I'm getting mad here. I let my sub lapse once before for this reason. ****an, are you listening??

  19. I'd put it just ahead of the Dynamat ad with the little neo-nazi head in the bottom corner....what the hell is that about?!
