Fuzzy JF is a good buddy of a friend of mine and his shop is in my old home town of Osoyoos as you found out. We moved from Osoyoos in 1982 and needless to say the town is a little different then it is now! JF does beautiful work! Did you see the riviera that he won with? Amazing design and fab work!

Fuzzy your in my town tonight. A little warm.... I made that trip down the rivers from Penticton to Wenatchee a couple of years ago in July. I was cooked through and through by the time I got home. So hot I put the top up but it is blue and didn't offer much relief. The trip over the mountains to Puyallup should be a little cooler. I 90 can be rough in places but Blewitt pass is pretty smooth. I will be leaving for the coast in the morning.. Have fun!

I met a guy and his son from Canada who had driven their T bucket with no top down to Tulsa for the 1973 Street Rod Nationals who got fried on the way down and had gone out and bought motorcycle helmets with face shields to use on the way back. They were laughing when they showed me the helmets but figured it was the way to help cut down on sunburn and wind burn.

Last Sat. my son(54) and his wife borrowed my roadster to take a run with friends in a motorcycle club ( christian and charity oriented) charity run to Fort Valley, GA which is about 60 miles away and the epicenter of what's left of the peach orchards in GA.
They went to a restaurant near there operated by Lane Farms, about the largest peach farmer still in the business. The restaurant has great food and during the peach season (now), about the most wonderful fresh peach ice cream in the world.
After their return, he told me that he now understood why I had little to no interest in long distance trips in BGII. They were about cooked, as the temp was 100+ all the way there and back, plus he said that he had to watch and pay close attention every second, and he was exhausted from driving there and back.
I'll be sure to tell him about you guys and your 3700 mile tour with 2 0f the 3 roadsters topless!

I think his fb links only work for his friend list.

  23. I think the addition of a skid plate under my transmission was a good idea. This was new 2 weeks before I left for Canada. DSCN0911.JPG

Let me know when you get back. We have a lot in common. I also used to be a Ford man, but later changed to Chevy. I live in Bonita, Ca so we are close. Signed up for this forum because of our names among other things. I am in the process of putting a LS motor and auto o'drive in my 69 Chevy C20 pick-up. Should be near complete by the time you get back but I have had some set-backs along the way so who knows.
