great job! your car is nicely understated and i loved the travelogue. one question, though: i know how women love to have the interior sun visor pulled down all the time--do you have one on the p***enger side?

We left Williams AZ at a good time and did a short run on I40, then our usual off onto Rt66 and headed for Seligman








then out towards Peach Springs and Hackberry.............one of the best stretches of road we have driven all trip.......

Hackberry Stores...............plenty of junk round here...............














Early stop for lunch at Topoc..................................nice.....................





Back on The Mother Road for a short while........








Having visited this stretch before (see post#1) we decided to run I40 for a while..............

in need of some refreshment we attempted to drive 66 to Bagdad Café ...................worst decision of the day.............and probably the whole trip........the road had bigger holes than some swimming pools I've seen................ ....nearly an hour to go 10 miles............**** this ......back on I40.................




so here we are Barstow CA for the night.........................selfie......................

so here we are the last leg of our Route 66 adventure.................

Barstow to Santa Monica.............not much to see took the desert route out of Barstow towards Victorville....

Rte66 runs along Santa Monica Blvd..........if you've not called in here you should, some cool stuff, we visited last year so didn't stop this time.

Tonight we went to Art Chrisman's shop for his Wednesday nite open house................unfortunately Art is away on vacation this week....................

so the guys closed and I couldn't get many shots



very nice 50 2 door sedan in the shop this is the rebuilt motor after a fire in the engine bay..........

on the upside I got to meet Bud Rasner, cool guy with some great stories of his early days drag racing with Tom McEwen...........

I read your complete thread this morning as we are planning a partial Rt.66 trip this summer on our way to our destination of Pueblo Colorado. What an amazing trip!
Thanks for your detailed postings and great photos of your adventure,they will be most helpful as we plan our trip.

Nope...........we had a change of plan...!!....(somewhere in the middle of the desert I think)........ it's gone back to Ryno's,

the car sat at a buddy's house for a while in CA and then got collected and shipped back with BenD, (thanks again Ben)

so were going to have to drive it across the US again in the summer.......!!!
