    :rolleyes:...just a random pic second gen I suppose...I think the wooden wheel wells are actually there but lost in reflection...

    Did this Hotrod have filled wells with the wood being a thin veneer? Just curious...

    Looks Like the wheel well wood was removed.

    I was just looking at these pictures for reference on what to keep vs shave on mine, and never looked very closely at this picture. I’ve got to assume this is the earliest version of the car, as Sam bought it? Headlights are forward of the grill, frame horns are stock ‘32 with a spreader bar, seat is different, has outside handles and obviously the hood and rear fenders. I almost thought it was a different car but the windshield and split wishbone mounts are dead ringers.

    I sure like that look except for the headlights. The rear fenders, blue and white upholstery and black wheels with white walls and baby moons are just perfect, imho.
