I have really been dieing to see a tri five styled up in the mild Kustom form like this beautiful car at my current hangouts, but like most people here, seeing the standard issue(ie two tone paint and whatever chrome five spoke wheel) tri five's that you see linned up row after row makes me wanna puke.

ryan, thanks so much for finding more photos of that 56, my andy southard book practically falls open to that page I have looked at that car so much.
the paint and stance are perfect.
the story/history is great too....makes you wonder how many other customs were out there that fell through the cracks

I'm looking at the first pic Ryan showed via Rod Powell and apparently it was already lifted by then. Coupled with the addition of full wheelcovers and the lakes pipes... Yikes, was perfection that magical day Southard shot it. Kind of went downhill quick!

    Hi,

If anyone have more pictures of this car, or could help me map out the paint job it would be much appreciated.

I'd very much like to replicate it, kinda, on my own '56. The design anyway, but with other colors.

    Thanks/
    Patrik
