Love 1935 Fords. Your missing the later photo after they added the 40 Chevy headlights, supposedly one of the last photos of it.
My Lexicon may be a bit out of date, but I had always heard the phrase stated "You can't swing a dead cat without..."
I've been fascinated by this car for years. Someone on here is/was building a clone, or a tribute. I cannot remember who it is, but I haven't heard or seen an update on it in a while. Also- ever notice that grill treatment looks a lot like a production 38 Standard? Coincidence? I think not.
Visibility is 0 out of anywhere but the windshield . but Oh My Lord !!! That has to be the classiest delivery rig ever made !!!! classy !!
That's the kat's pajamas!!! Very kool, I would love to own it. I would continue the stretched side window oval style as a rear window. Love the grille.
Everything about this beautiful custom is just amazing, and it just vanished. I know Rik and too tall Paul were obsessed with it and chased many leads that lead to dead ends. Makes one wonder what happened to it.
I’ve read that there were two built. Those last photos must be the second one which is actually based on a 1936 convertible sedan. You can see it has a Duvall windshield. Never seen a front end photo of that one. Is the front the same as the other chrome plating special?

This one looks like a different car, note the 37 style belt line reveal and the 37 humpback style trunk. Don't know if they re-did the 35 or cut the roof off a 37 humpback sedan and gave it a roadster cowl. Also looks like a stock 37 wheelbase, not like the stretched 35. EDIT: Just went back and read the post saying it's a 36 Convertible sedan. That makes more sense. That trunk looks like 36 Conv. sedan.
A member here mentioned a 40 Chevy headlight mod. Thet are most definitely not 40 Chevy. The side shot photo above is on Rikster's site mentions a 1937 license plate, to me, they look more like 37 Chevy headlights with the pedestal mount.
Now I know where Joe Bailon got his inspiration for all the tubing he did on some of his cars. This car pulled it off much better. Gorgeous car, strange how it just disappeared.
that was my original recollection thinking back about those photo, once I pulled the photos up and posted them, I agree they’re not 40 Chevy.
Famous NW Tacoma Wash. 1935 Ford roadster of my late fathers here.Terry Seaholm. My brother is buying it back this year. It was sold in the eighties. Can't wait for it to be back in the flock.
saw it at Scott's a few years ago with Bruce... nice guy sold me the cool Weiand Valve covers that are my 36 now . I wanted the 56 F100 pick up he had so bad.. mild custom build along time... went to a son in law... the 35 I think was a part... but sitting in the shop.... Ole Saphire Dave Adams still owns it...
Hey, Ryan; IIRC, the Spence Murray(sp? ;( ) R&C custom " '36 roadster"(actually a mild custom fromthe late 40's/early50's, found in an outside hoard-storage), was actually a '35. Yah... same guy that did the Dream Truck... Was one of the 1st I drooled over for a very long time, & it influenced the '32-5w I did when a kid. Ryan, I feel Ya. First time I gazed at a picture of that SCPC creation, was a Jolt to the senses, and a spark of envy. Your shots of the world it lived in make me want to experience breathing in ALL the sensations of the atmosphere and times that it lived. THANKS ( not that it's worth saying but ) I once left a couple hundred down on a '35 slant 2dr. Went thru a life change divorce and wrote off the whole scene.
