It's a little known fact, but Crease actually dated the lead singer, briefly, in the late 80's. It was well after their success, and the singer had low-self esteem issues, so Crease swooped in (no pun intended) and swept him off his feet. It was really quite romantic.

 

It's actually discussed in the Flock of Seagulls Behind the Music episode in detail. I was in somewhat of a downward spiral.
