The Speed of the HAMB

sporadic - this AM there were times I received timeouts; yet other times it loaded normally. Figured you were messin' with it.

relatively speaking?

right now, 55 to 60 mph..

it was about 45 or 50 for a while

but there are times when it is up around 75 or 80
and as slow as 15 or 20

 

I'm on an old 56K dialup and it's great here. I wish eBay worked this well.

 

Mostly ok.

 

When it works, it's been alright... Not lightning fast, but not slow enough to piss me off...

I get a lot of "Not found" messages though (and every other site loads fine)... It won't load for a few minutes, and then it's back!


FWIW: I am using up-to-date IE on XP professional, with a cable modem.

 

Seems a bit slow from here,switching from threads to replies,switching topics. Not enought o be a bother,though.

 

VERY slow to timing out at 7:30am this morning. OK now but not as fast as in the past.

 

Seems slower to me. Took about 10 seconds to load this page after hitting the reply button, in the past it was maybe 1 second. Also, the graphics at the top of the page load slower than the previous revision.

Need to fine tune those new carbs maybe

 

Slow..very slow.
Last night at around 10:00 Ohio time, I tried to get on four times and couldn't find the server.
i knew it wasn't my connection because i tried CNN and other websites and jumped right in. I didn't say anything figuring you were just adjusting the vaccuum on the carbs alittle.

 

With a T1 at work, it was mooving pretty good. But clicking on this topic, it took a couple of seconds to load. This reply box took a little longer than normal. Seems like its not hitting on all cylinders. Maybe a fouled plug?

 

Mostly OK, once in a while it won't connect on the first try.

A bit mixed.
Most times, pretty fast considering I'm on dialup.

Sometimes slow, but I attribute that to several folks clicking on a post about the same time.

Seems too that the "response" page is pretty slow.


One thing that has been happening of late - and it could be my computer although it's been behaving well lately - the complete page doesn't load.
Things like new thread, post reply, symbols for pics etc. don't load up if I leave the HAMB and then come back.

If I go offline and come back in the afternoon it works fine first time around, then it's back to not completely loading.

Other sites seem to be doing ok as far as completely loading goes.

 

Its lagging between pages for me.

 

ever since you asked, it's slowed down a lot!

 

It's never been real bad, but I think speed is pretty darn quick lately.

I'm on a T1 line though....

 

intermittant "timed out" messages. It seems to be hustling now. I thought it was me.

 

Monday and Tuesday it was sporadic. Yesterday and today it's been fast.

 

It's ripping right along for me.

 

It was working great but it's actin kinda screwy right now.

 

I have found over the last couple of days that its been fast, slow, medium & now fairly fast again...

 

I'm on 10 Mb X 10 Mb service right now and twice just now got "Page can not be displayed"

 

Tried to respond just prior (or during) Denise's post..got the dreaded Page cannot be displayed message.

I'm on dial-up @ 56 K but it seems to take MUCH LONGER to load the first page of a thread than it used to.

 

I am working from a T1 connection and I keep getting hung up. Very slow responding and then I may get page not displayed or worse can not find server...
We know you got it under control however...most of us are suppose to be "working" anyway.

Noticeably slower the last month or so. Dialup.

 

It seems to be working ok for me. Earlier today I was anable to get on with out timing out.
