The T looks killer, I really dig the dragster influence. But what really got me stoked was seeing that you are gettin Satan ready! I don't care where in the country you run it, I gotta be there!
Thanks Independant! I was working on the rail all day yesterday. Chris was boring the centers out on the ET IIIs, (they need to fit over my MW floater plates) and me?...I measured for throttle and 'chute cables, then polished that mountain of Donovan 417 baby! The sun was out, I had a hot cup of coffee and Chris' (never been run) original '66 vintage altered wheelbase Nova build was sitting in the other bay! To top it off, I just found out that THE Roberto Skinner, (one of the mighty SURFERS) lives in the neighborhood somewhere close, and their driver Mike Sorokin's son Adam (currently the fastest new style F.E.D. driver at 5.70 - 261) has pledged to offer a few tips on keeping me alive...Looks like things are shaping up! - Fuelers Forever.
Best news I've heard in a long time. How long til that bad boy sees some track time? You sir, are a mack daddy!
That is soooo INTENSE looking!!!.......BAD@ZZ oops..the pics didnt come up but you get it and got it!
I'm afraid to say man, I don't want to JINX it! Let's call it real soon and cross our fingers. Thanks Rat, I dig Stoner's car too. I gotta say I wasn't 100% for that T body or using tractor parts at first, but now I can't see it any other way! Dan is smarter than he looks, which is surprising.
I love you, man! You always inspire me to call in a professional - you kinda make me wanna build better hot rods than I can do myself... LOL
The cool way to do it I think... If you have the free time do it yourself, ask LOTS of questions and go slow. If you hire someone to help you, pick a builder who's technically good but also has an open mind. Like film or architecture, all car projects are collaborative efforts. The ones that really turn out good come from a swank batch of mixed "DNA". I'm in VERY good company on this car man...Stoner, Keith Tardel, Jason Steed, Bruno Gianolli, Joey Mirin, Jake Hudson and Chris Bacciocco just to name a few, and soon it'll be going to a whole new batch. Lucky LUCKY!
Like Tim says, there's lots of quality DNA in this car: Keith Tardel, Jeff Allison, Steve-O, Jay Watson, Gringo Bounds, Brian Fox, a few Mexican kids from behind Tim's house, both of Tim's pugs, hell--even the guys who stole the original front-end. If it weren't for them, Vern Tardel wouldn't have gotten involved in helping me replace the dropped axle and spindles! But really, who else but Conder could actually do something like this? STONER
I finally drew full bodies on 'em. Lord, now I HAVE to do one...BUSINESS COUPE BODY for the car FIRST!!!! GGGRRRAAAAAHHHHHH!
Well, she's gone...(most of her anyway.) The boys in South SF have 'er now, go git' it fellas! Here's a photo from Jay Watson...
Well that's a fine stage to send it on for the next step, incredible job you've done Tim. Now we can't wait for the new chapters in this build.
Thanks! We'll be at the March Meet with Satan. Since I don't have my license yet, we're just going to put it in the car show, but we'll be ready to fire it if they'll let us...S.O.G. has to stay home on the porch, as I don't have anywhere to put it once it's back together. Turnip Blood is getting us there, I'm not kidding!
Has radical good proportions like a late 60's show rod, with period fueler engine. I like the top tall.
