Hi guys. Bringing one back from the dead here. The Tommy Lee is alive and well and is currently making its way to Colorado to participate in the Colorado Grand. I've had the good fortune of seeing it up close and it really is a thing of beauty. It currently is running the 270c.i. Offenhauser engine. The original 318 is in the shop on a stand. I suspect it likely will never find its way back in the engine bay simply because the 270 is a relatively common engine (relative to the 318 anyway) whereas the 318 is a one-off. Here is a short video from a week ago... It's loud and harsh but undoubtedly a thing of beauty...
Nice story to wake up to on a Sunday morning. That car is gonna be stuck in my dome all day now. Maybe I can block it out for an hour or so during church?........naw......It will still be there.....sorry preach
The Tommy Lee is another one of my favorites. That video is incredible to listen to, you can imagine what it sounded like at the lakes !
