The straighteight is coming out!!!

I have fought and cussed at this motor too much.
So one of my salemen walks into my office and asks me if i am intrested in an old motor and transmission from an old buick. I checked it out its a 425 nail out of a 66 buick the trans is a t400 adapted to the nail . She looks to be in really good shape. Time for the swap over and leaving the straight eight club untill i find a T for a new home for the straight eight.
SO goodbye straight eight, dynaslow and torque tube.

Im welcoming in a new era of 12 volt, parts availabity and more power and a open driveline

 

You guys with your fancy modern engines and whatnot.

 

A good break in would be a drive to vegas

 

LOL aint that the truth.

This is going to take me a while i am pulling every wire out of the car and rewireing the whole thing. The old cloth wires are just shot. Engine swap. trans, I will need to make a drive shaft. I'm going to have to cut out the old rear end. find a replacement, build the mount, trailing arms panhard bar and install. I have been kicking around the idea of some air bags while i have the car gutted.
