I was finally able to buy the 57 Studebaker Presidental Broadmoor 40StudeDude had for sale. Went over to 40StudeDude's and got to see the progress on the ultra top secret project that is getting upolstery done as we speak. I had to swear a blood oath promising not to reveal any of the build up's patten pending secrets shown to me under penalty of pain of death.. It's******in is all to say the least and better than the last time I saw it. I can't wait to see it done. You cats out there in magazine land better not miss this one. 40StudeDude's son has come up with some*****ing outstanding trick shift knobs and stuff that is just totally unbelievable. They'll be on the market soon. And I want a hole set of them Well after getting the Stude unburied, we got it loaded up only to have it back off the trailer in traffic. (rear wheels only) I*****ed up cause I hurried and didn't check the load. Causing it to bend the hood up a bit, but nothing that's not fixable. It was a good deal for both of us and I had a lot of fun to hang out with Roger and Chris. I have never met a neater guy who loves this thing we do as much as Roger. I'm gonna sneak over there and get some picts of that rad late 60's 57 chebby custom of his to post if he doesn't do it soon. Photochoppers do yer stuff one thought the other
Congradulations!....Phase one is completed...Have ya'got naked in it yet????..... ...keep the naked pictures to yourself...please
AWB gasser, the super stock or MP would be a cool look, but I think the front wheels should be as far forward as they can go and move the axle forward about 8-10", maybe even a 10% set back? We need more gassers in HAMB land, not anymore Kuztoms . -Jesse
Using those famous words sung by that singing cowboy..... " I'm back iiiiin the saddlllle agaaaaaain"
Very cool. You sure can see the GM influence. That's gonna be a great car. Are you thinking custom, hot rod, gasser?
Zeke, congrats!!! Nice to see another Stude will live again. I really like the kustom look, but the first pic needed one more thing. Try this one. Eric
We have a 429/C6 lined up for it. It's gonna be a gasser. We're doing the front axle in March. Looking forward to getting the wife behind the wheel at the 05 HAMB drags. She just don't know it yet.
Interior shots The headliner is in good shape. Trans cooler under front seat? rear seat front rough spots Both rear 1/4s are about the same Not bad for $500 do you think?
I can see it with a pair of 2 door sedan doors on it and the back cut into a Stude-mino or El-Cabaker pickup with fully functional tailgate...Chop the top about 2 or 3 inches to make it look like a factory piece. It's possible a hardtop windshield may be a few inches shorter than the sedan/wagon glass like similar GM and Ford cars of the 50s.
Zeke, looking at the longroof reminded me that... what about 56 Buick taillights,or 56 Chevy or 57 chevy fins really mess up people 's mind ....just a thought
That's not a trans cooler under the front seat, that is the heater core. You have to open the vent on the passenger side to circulate air. I also have a 57 Broadmoor wagon that I am getting ready to work on.
Here's a quick photoshop I whipped up a while back. It's not very good since I started with a pic of a flat black car in a field, but it gets the point across.
I just wish I could just have one project at a time. Now I have a 27 T and my Stude, so now not much is being done to either of them.
[ QUOTE ] Yeah I figured that out after chating with Tinbender. Is that one your's? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, the turquoise one is mine.
Cool, that's the same pict I photoshopped. I remember seeing it on the for sale on the net. Looks really solid. Kinda looks like you're going with Commander / Pelham trim on that concept.
Wow, freaky. I didn't realize it was the same picture. It is pretty solid, all I need to patch is the driver's floorboard and about all the rust is taken care of. I kinda like the Commander trim better, but I'll probably still run the President trim when it is all said and done.
