The T with love.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Tman, Aug 31, 2003.

  1. Here is the T as it sits today. I got the frame together, still need to do the kickup. I just got done cutting out the rear seat riser. I had to see the profile though. This is ride height. Lower than a beer can at the cowl. Crappy pic, I know.

  6. Hahahaha, yer a sick puppy Tuckster! I do like your idea though. It is getting a chopped laid back T windshield. It will be in primer for next year but I have the blue PPG stuff already for it. You remember that Blue 32 5 window at MOKAN? Thats the blue, with lots of white accents and gobs of striping. I figure Grimlok can get lost on this car with his opne shot [IMG]

    Oh yeah, long.....118" wheelbase.

any more pics of the frame... Looks like you got a few holes in it...

  8. Boones, I left the other pics at the shop. I tried to post them but I need to resize em. 6, 3" holes in each rail, 6, 1 1/2" holes in the front crossmember/tranny cooler. I will put up a pic tomorrow, getting ready to BBQ here.

That thing would look great that color blue with some FAT pinstripping and maybe scallops. That "W" engine will be cool also. Looks like the plan is starting to come together. It's gonna be a good looking "T"!!

  10. looks great T- but why that rear gear?

Hmmmm...sorta reminds me of the "Hot For Teacher" T-tub at the end of the video...minus the blown small block and 5-speed tranny...and 80s yellow paint!

You gonna let Diamond Dave flog it? [IMG] [IMG]

    Cool...keep the pics comin'!

I can only assume that the reason is...
    348 w/ 3x2 +
    Powerglide +
    3.89 gears +
a Tub that is light as hell

= Fun at next HAMB drags...or just from light to light.

  14. Deyo, all of the above! Found a solid lifter cam this weekend as well. a couple notches better than a 425 horse 409 grind.

That T looks great T.............it looks like it needs those half round dual windshields, so the driver and passenger each have their own......

  16. I'm down with the dual cowl deal Tbone. Cut down windshield for the front and a cutdown windshield for the rear. Make some wood and wicker doors for that Johnson and it'll look like a 20's RR with Amerikan BALLS.

  17. The rear seat area will just be a package tray, The tank is taking up a lot of the old seat area. There will be a white tonneau cover over the back. I like some of your idea but I have a picture in my head of the overall look.

T - the car looks great! Now, in my opinion, fuck the Brooklyns - (just my opinion) I don't like the wanna be European sorts car look look on trad style rods. Any roadster be it a T, A, deuce etc. needs a chopped windshield frame ( again just my opinion, take it with agrain of salt) Its looking sweet!

  22. Dan, the chopped posts I am using are the ones I got from you. I got a little something in mind for them..........

  23. OK, for Germ and others, here is a better description of the build. 348 tripower with a glide. Ford 9" rear with 3.89s. Chopped T posts, chopped/filled/peaked 34 commercial shell. 29x 7.5 Cheaters on the back mounted on steelies, 16x5.10 skinnies on the front 35 wires. It sits low, the drivers door is about 3 feet high, barely. Split bones in the front and rear. 4" dropped axle in the front. The basic color is a bright blue (the paint was a deal and I a,ways say I hate blue [IMG]) with white accents. I pla to run it next summer in primer for the most part. I happen to like striping so I wll let any of my pinhead friends have at it.

I had this car built as a roller until I scrapped it all at the start of this year. I am now building what I never knew I wanted. And yes, I went with the 348 because it looked cool. I still like smallblocks.

  24. hot rod limo! killer wheels, what kind of slicks are those?

  25. Those are real Englewoods. They are just a set of rollers we have around the shop.

Hey "T".......where does the BBQ grill mount? Will it have a double or queen size bed?
    It's way kool dude...

  28. Just got back from the shop. THe front seat riser is gone to make way for my hybrid bench/bomber seat combo. The main "divider" is cut, I'll post a pic later this week to explain. I got the rear bustle type area laid out. Next set of pics will 'splain what I am doing.

  30. Read above burndup, I am not using those spindle mounts. They are Genes, I will put them on Ebay soon, $750 for any that want them. My boss' wheels/price.
