I just got back to Houston from Vegas, the show was a blast. We had good mount of Texan representatives at the show. My Pops took some pretty good pics.

The red oxide truck with the abbreviated Buick trim is sweet.

  8. Cool pics, thanks........The Texas Perspective is good..........

That bronze Shoebox (pic #4) was a contender for our "Kingpin" award, but we could not locate the owner, and that is part of how we decide. It's a Car/Owner combo that we would have in our club kind of criteria. Great car, the lines were very nice.

Kevans '40 Merc Coupe (pic #6) was to die for, the taillight detail alone sets it above many of its peers. And looking inside, the chop job was amazing. Unlike the inside of the bare metal Merc which showed the chop to be horrid butchery.

"Kid" Dustin from Indy made a DeSoto look (pic #11) better than I knew possible. Another great chop, the proportions are flawless. The young man has quite an eye, he keeps questionable company though, ha ha ha ha. Better be careful hangin' out with Goose, Yancey, Mike, oh......and those Colorado lunatics....

That Sled truck is so cool, it just screamed '50's Custom. Went back and walked around it several times. This person just hit the nail on the head ! (pics 12 & 13)

Oh yeah, lots of the girls were good too........

Had lots of fun at the weekender and car show, always a good time.........Johnnie.
