A buddies older brother built a clone of this car in the late 80’s early 90’s slightly different headlight treatment but same hood , wide body kit and 6 tail lights and goofy paint !

as a kid I thought it was sooooooo cooooooooool !!

sold it years ago , I swear it’s for sale right now locally to me , but repainted red .
Damn shame as those cars are pretty cool right out of the box .

The unibody rendering looks good, the prototypes.........not so much.

I like the actual prototype. Roof and rear look like Ford Ranchero with AMC front sheet metal. I’d drive it!

 

Ugly? Yes! But that's a factory build! One of their first cabovers.

 

Is this real or AI ? You can see daylight/gr*** through the vents in the rear fender . RHD with U.S. or Canadian licence plate. No wipers. Lower pic top edge of polished rim is wonky,

Obviously they are building something. Not to long ago if you had a vision a fancy sketch was made ( Chip Foose style ) Guess these days the computer makes the sketch come to life. I still have a feeling the build is not finished

 

First rock that finds that back gl*** turned windshield on that Vdub will give the driver a severely cut upper body! Back gl*** is tempered gl***, breaks into a million sharp little pieces, a no no for windshields, you want laminate gl*** for that.
