When I see these abortions I often wonder what could actually have been built if all that energy had been better applied.

  2. Can,t remember if this is a Russian GAZ or Pobeda. Both companies made a few streamliners for record attempts. Anyhow i,ve had both production sedans in the past. Lots of parts looked the same as Pre-War Ford.

No engine or drivetrain apparently and those tire treads look like ornaments only. Just a display unit that must have been built for a reason. Maybe someone knows the whole story. o_O

Someone just thought it would be funny to carry a dumb fad to its ridiculous extreme.

Sometimes my natural stupidity gives artificial intelligence a good run for it's money.

    Cheers,

Looks nice but has a BMW M57 diesel under the hood. It's in the UK, so one can (perhaps?) understand the reasoning but still...

I'm sure this was already posted, and I actually like it! Any older guys remember a similar first Gen Mustang show rod like this, only covered in flames and possibly chopped? It's caricature was a masthead in early seventies Popular Hot Rodding magazine, and was also in an ad. Incidentally, since the nosecones and wing were a kit, some of you may remember Bob McClurg of late seventies Hot Rod Magazines' Project Mustang build up, finished and shown in August '79 issue, but at one time wearing the wing from this kit....

Seen at a car show yesterday:

At first I thought it was an early 70s dune buggy/Fad T mashup. Then I noticed that the body was all cardboard and tape…
