The THRASH

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Jeff Norwell, Jan 31, 2007.

  1. I am currently trying to thrash on my '39, but it really seems like I've still got time before the RoundUp. Yet, we are also building my bosses '37, at the same time. His, at the shop, when I'm not painting anything. And mine, at my home shop, when I'm not trying to supplement my income building something for someone else. I'll post some current pics when I get 'em in my computer.

I've been thrashin every day on my 40 chevy coupe to try and make the HAMB drags with it this year....just remounted the engine/trans [correctly this time] and now all the 10,00 details are left to iron out.
I finally gor the rear axle ***embled and installed. I also got my rear caliper brackets fab'd and installed on the new 9 inch...I'm gettin there!

Well I have to say my THRASH is done....Now I'm down to the slow going final detail work on the 40. Went yesterday and got my carpet and my materials for the the headliner. Things really seem to start slowing down for me at this point. Window gl***, new seals, and tidying up some of the wiring.

Hopefully I'll have it done for the HAMB Drags this year...

Is this the pic you were refering to Root?...photo courtesy(stolen from) Flexicoker.

That had to be one the most draining, frustrating, and sleepless weeks I have ever had in my life. And I wouldnt have changed it for the world.

  11. Damn Rockey we haven't even stuffed the mockup mill in Wilbur's ride and he's planning on makeing the HAMB Drags this year. If you don't make it it'll be because lightning struck or some such. :D

If you get close and its dicey you better damned well call.

Ol Chebby's lookin' pretty smooth BTW.
