Are these old Buick drums that have been cleaned up? Or, is somebody recasting these?

    Nice coupe by the way.

This, I presume is the fuel pump? Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm trying to learn something here that can help me with my build.

Nice job on the trans mount. One safety suggestion though if it were mine and looking that good I would put the bolts holding the mount in from the top with the nuts on the bottom that way if things loosen up the bolts will still somewhat hold the mount in place and you may catch it before there is a problem your way the bolts will fall completely out and it could get hairy much faster.

Claymore, That is usually the prefered assembly method, and I agree completely, BUT, the flat plate crossmember is mounted under the chassis cleats so even if the nuts did fall off the crossmember is already gone anyway. Matt can you put the crossmember to the top of the cleats and reverse the bolts?
You are an extremely talented kid, I'm 56 and I am loving your build. All the best , GB.

Well if it needs to be installed with the nuts on the top for some reason then just drill the bolts after the nuts are torqued and install some cotter pins or better yet safety wire them as that will match that nice looking trans mount.

Wow man..... Awesome car, awesome build thread. You've got more talent and ambition than most guys twice your age, myself included. (although I'm not quite twice your age...only 24) It seems as though in addition to your talent, you've also got some really cool parents/support system, I hope you understand how rare that is. Lots of us here have been doing the "car thing" in spite of our parents (or to spite them!) Best of Luck

Ohhhhh..... Do I need one? What is its purpose.
Thanks for any helpful information you can provide.

Now, before any Model A-holes go jumping on me for not knowing this shit, this is the place to learn. The preceding message is my disclaimer.:)

    Looks great.

Your Front U-Bolt plate is mounted upside down.
The rubber piece needs to go towards the axle
    Like a bumpstop.
