    #@& ...that is 327 and you can have the bragging rights to admirers who love the original motors that made history in the 60's. That $1800 crate motor needs another $1000 worth of parts to make it run good. I have seen the good heads on Craigslist for $450 in LA. Rebuild!

    Had a 327 in my 56...with a little head work on the original cast iron heads and a small cam...sounded great and ran forever! Stay with the 327.

    If it is a "truck" 427, (the heavy truck "tall deck") you might not want it....

    Although intake adapters used to be available....

    I'd do a 1/2" stroker 327 crate motor....numbers are only numbers unless its a stupid fast mofo...lol

    I would drop in the crate engine and when you have the time (and money), rebuild the 327 the way you'd really like to build it!

    If you install an RV cam (Crate motor), you'll get more Low-end and better mileage too. Remember: Gas is going "UP" again.
