Well folk's I'm new here so hopefully I'm in the right place. To start off I acquired this beat up but fairly solid 48 Plymouth Coupe about a year ago. In the last few months when time allows I go to my tiny "shop" and work on bringing this old thing back to life. The ultimate goal is a sort of custom/hotrod. It'd sat for 30+ years when I got it and someone had partially dis***embled it. So here I am rebuilding, and cleaning things up (slowly) as time and money allow. Someone had swapped in a '68 318 and 727, along with the brake booster/master cylinder from what I ***ume is the same '68 Chrysler product (dart I believe). In doing so they cut the front floor pan out of the Plymouth Coupe and grafted in the 68 dart floor pan so the ****** tunnel had enough clearance. Over the last month I've wire wheeled and s****ed all the rust and hard undercoating off and applied P0R15
Lots of potential there! I hope you have the all the front sheetmetal and rear fenders as they could be a bear to locate. Also, what's that steering column out of? Looks like a great project!
Have all the front sheet metal.... didn't have a good however when I purchased it. I ended up driving from Pennsylvania to the Ohio/Michigan border and bought a slightly dented one for $50 Column was out of something GM and was all busted up, so a good friend donated a decent tilt column out of a mid 80's cutl***
My small "shop" it's actually an old school and the cl***rooms are garage bays...I can't complain, the rent is cheap.
Looks as if You are on the right track,, with a great player in the post war trafficing. My Step Dad had that in the 2door version. I'm glad you are continuing to bring it up to a usable level. We'll all be glad to see the growth. Thank You.

The plan so far is to use 51 Pontiac taillights, skirts, lake pipes, and maybe dummy spotlights. And drop it 2" in the front and 3" in the rear
Way to go! A taildragger style works on these. You mentio9ned redoing the front end. Look into adding an upper shock mount on the frame. IIRC, the OE was between the upper and lower arms. Uggh. Got my current project with Harley coil overs. They are gone now! Here is a listing for shock upper and lower mounts and length. For the most part it's ok for being done 40 years ago. Mostly it's me doing thing what I consider "improvements" the whole v-8 swap was done using nothing but donor car parts and a stick welder. Same goes for the mustang 2 rack they put in. It's easy to criticize someone else's work but after a while I came to the realization that not everyone is a Chuck Lumbardo or Gene Winfield. These guys were like me doing everything by hand probably in a rinky dink shop, with pennies and no Internet.

Nice project, good luck with it. The chalkboard would be very handy for notes, checklists, sketches, etc. Very cool!
You are correct....didn't know they were from a 300 though. I just measured the bolt pattern one day and made sure it was a "normal" Chrysler bolt pattern
