I still think it was hearse. It wasn't a coupe utility for sure. It has pitted steel runners and tie downs in the "bed".
I'd have to see more pictures, but im almost positive it's a Flower Car. Body Maker could possibly be Superior. Or maaayyybe MM. Jackson
Im not too sure, I think MFG just means manufacturing, from a previous glance the doors on the car werent full height anyway, And for hearses/ambulances they usually had full height doors. The tray in the back could just be because Flower Cars also had trays too, I assume the pins and whatnot are so flowers can be strapped down and not fly everywhere. Anyways, Im fairly certain its a Superior Flower Car. Might have to ask atti. Jackson
merv has a 1940 zephyr pick up was built back in the 70'S here in the US was inspired by the australian youth I will post pictures soon , we are planning to get it back on the road by summer
. This is a rare 41 Plymouth (I think) and in standard trim is rare so you can imagine how hard it would be to find in a Ute
If you look in the background of that plymouth.. The Blue car could possibly be a Monaro. Meaning 50k+! ..Once restored anyway. There's a whole heap of cool stuff here in australia.. Just the problem is... Finding it!! Jackson
Not a Flower Car and we know it is not a Ute as it has four doors. It is an Ambulance with the roof removed. Color scheme is that of the era being red and white. Tie downs would be for a stretcher. A few other giveaways to it being an Ambulance are the storage locker above the front seats as the roof line from there back would have been different.
The front grill looks like an almost exact match for a '41 Dodge Luxury Liner I used to have . . . turn signal / running lights above the headlights are a little different - but definitely a '41 Mopar of some flavor
Man I've owned more utes than any other type of car, mind you not all were cool but i don't know an aussie male who has'nt owned one. If you are creative enough you can make you're own out of you're favorite wagon! My 46. Victorian car, Anyone with some history i'd love to hear it.
